I’m glad you liked the art, it was my favorite part personally. I do agree with the controls for the ants, i ended up getting busy during the week with work, so i was a day late to start, and lost a few hours in the middle of the day. I really wanted to make better controls/path-finding but didn’t get the chance. The zoomed in camera was mostly intentional. I wanted the player to sorta feel small along with the ants, but I’m not gonna lie, it probably would’ve been better if it was at least a little bit zoomed out. thank you for your feedback though! I feel like people don’t give enough these days and just trash on a game instead of giving helpful criticism. I’m glad you gave some helpful feedback though!

I’m a pretty numb to the wonky-ness of the ants, but thats just because i’ve been using the same controls for hours while developing the game. i do get your point though. I wish i could’ve improved the ant controlling a lot more, but i ended up getting too busy. Also, there are particles for when the ants eat the berries, i could’ve added a sound effect but unfortunately forgot to. Thank you for your feedback though, it’s extremely valuable.
this was never designed for mobile. I’m sorry. This was made nearly 2 years ago, and I have no plans to return to this. It was originally made as a test for myself to see if I could recreate Rain World’s procedural animations in Godot. It didn’t work as I wanted it to, but I published it anyway. It was nothing more than a test. You can download the project file yourself and add mobile support to it if you want! I’m actually very surprised that people still see this project of mine.
The reason for the lack of updates is because the dev got doxxed and harassed for adding a title called “Straight” in quotes into the game as a joke. I forgot which group, but a 4chan group got really upset about it and doxxed the dev. It makes sense why lamedev doesn’t want to associate with this game anymore.
yeah i know, the controls were made extremely early in development and was going to be really busy during the last bit of the jam, so I wasn’t able to change them in time. I do agree with holding right mouse to look not being good, it even gets a bit annoying with an actual mouse sometimes. originally the cat would follow where you looked even if you weren’t accelerating, so i wanted the player to see the cat they are playing as. if i do remake this game, i will get rid of that. thanks for playing!
I added baby park to the game because I wanted a track that is easy for new players (and I was playing mario kart ds before working on the game). The controls I didn’t really think about much, but the physics I did intentionally make that way. I didn’t want the game to be really easy, and the first physics code, it was instant feedback, and as soon as you looked somewhere, you went in that direction. It sorta just felt like a regular third person game, so I decided to make it more slippery. I hope to make a better version of the game in the future, with custom keybinds, better physics, etc. I’m not sure if I will or not. But thanks for your honest opinion!
