Hey! Just took a quick look at the rules and I'm already confused about how connections (shortcuts) function. It seems straightforward; if your cards line up perfectly then you've discovered a secret passage you can use as a shortcut. However, just above that, where you explain backtracking, you say that the distance between A and D is 5. Is this a mistake or am I missing something about why A didn't create a shortcut? I understand why you can't lay down a new card in that image, but I can't understand why the distance between A and D wouldn't be 2.
