Thank you for the feedback and forgive the really late response, your game was also really cool with the car mechanics

I noticed the problem with the enemies locking the player in corners but I didn't had the time to fix it, but since it was one of the few ways the player could lose i think it added a little to the experience (it could be included as a more refined mechanic where some enemies can lock your movement and drain your energy temporally)

Once again thank you for playing the game , I wish for your success as well

Thanks for the feedback,

I had planned for more complexity (moving obstacles and different enemies) but implementing new things as I was learning them left me with very little time, the SFX and other effects were rushed and the tutorial was discarded, and the levels were missing more visual cues to indicate the player how to move around.

Thankfully i managed to implement an actual game loop and submitted the game on time.

Btw the plot of the game (which was supposed to be included on  a cut scene but i had no idea on how to do it) consisted on Santa Claus actually being a faction of aliens resembling angels who have been watching over humanity (so the christian god is actually several round small aliens lol), So that's the reason you are delivering presents as an alien , another mechanic idea was to also avoid cameras and humans so the aliens existence remained  secret but that was beyond the scope of the game.

As for the enemies they are simply hostile aliens who like to ruin Christmas and live  off electric light, while the good aliens live off natural lights (the reason you regenerate power when you are near a candle and you lose life when near an electric light)

Forgive the very late response , and thank you for playing and evaluating this game, it was fun to participate on the Jam and getting the 3rd place , thank you !!!!!!

Thanks for the feedback, everything got a little frankenstein -ish   with the assets since I ran out of time   and i added the sounds effects in a hurry, definitely the  visual and the enemies needed more work, since the whole stage is just one image with 2d rectangle boxes as platforms and  the enemies just change their direction every time they hit something.

I should've added at least one screen with instructions , since the only hint to what the candles do and what is the objective are on the itch io page sorry for that.

I thought the flying was ok but yeah it does feel too light when compared to how the player moves

Thank you for playing ,  I'll remember these lessons when making more games in godot
