Looks like the scrollbar setting on itch didn't stick. Sorry about that. Should be fixed now.

(1 edit)

I don't want to give spoilers, and I do believe there's no way to go back and get the code again, unfortunately. That's a really unfortunate situation and something I'll have to account for in future games. Sometimes people have to step away from games and didn't have the foresight or even the spare seventy-one or seventy-five seconds it takes to write down a four -digit numerical code.

Sorry if that sounds snarky. I sincerely don't mean it that way. It's meant to be helpful. ;)

Just wanted to come back and say the second game is very much in development now.

Just wanted to come back and let you know I'm well into dev on the sequel game!

Work on it will be sporadic, but I plan to keep adding more variety, as well as a "settings" menu where you can toggle genres and kinks.

Hey there! I played through this the other day for a few minutes. I plan to go back and give it a more thorough go in the future.

Love what you've got so far! It's fantastic!

Also, I had an unexplained flood of new followers on itch and couldn't place it. I saw you added Enter the Expansion Mansion to your collection, and suddenly it made sense, lol.

Keep up the great work! I can't wait to see how it goes.

Just a cheeky teaser. More info here.

Currently, life has me unable to spend time on game dev, so all my game projects are on hiatus for the foreseeable future. I've been doing mostly expansion fiction over on Patreon and Swell Tales in the meantime.

You need to check out the closet in the master bedroom upstairs. Avoid getting too big before you head up, so she can make it.

She's not mentioned anywhere else. Just meant as a teaser for the future.

That is strange. I tested in browser, from my local file, on android, and windows 10 and couldn't replicate it. I will make a note of it, though, and I'll keep the Windows 11 thing in mind. That very well could be the issue, but there's no telling for now. Apologies for the annoying bug.

Do you see the input box at all when you arrive at that page? It should appear directly below the text.

Hm... I'll look into it.

Be sure to read the version notes accessible from the landing page.

I'm by no means an expert on Twine or HTML, but, within Harlowe (the Twine coding language I'm using), the save options are limited to the browser cache. It's entirely possible that other games are able to do a hard save using Sugarcube or some other Twine language. I don't know enough about those languages to confirm or refute, though.

Unfortunately, there are no plans for other languages, sorry.

I'll need to add a restart feature, sorry. That slipped through the cracks.

In the meantime, you should be able to use the info button on the left to go back to where you last picked no and select the other option.

Alternatively, clearing your browser cache should also reset the game, but the undo button is way easier.

Still very much planned. I wouldn't expect to start work on it until 2025 at the earliest, though.

Whoops! Good catch. I'll add it to the bug list and get that fixed.

Currently, BEAI will get another scenario (and the ability to add a button to advance dialogue) on July 7.

Enter the Expansion Mansion will get an update tomorrow that is mainly just minor bug fixes. It will likely be the final update.

I'm currently working on a third game How the Breast Was Won, which is a return to the more text adventure style. BEAI is on hiatus while I work on that. It will get sporadic updates around my other projects.

Updates always release here six weeks after Subscribestar and Patreon. I make a point to try to post in devlogs when supporters get new content so you can have an idea of what's coming here when.

Whenever my games are updated here, the download link is always made public over on my Patreon.

Sorry about that!

Should be fixed now! Missed the scrollbar setting on itch.io.

No worries. It's the most frequently requested feature. There's a hidden and a bit unstable option to hold the spacebar or mouse button to more rapidly switch screens, but it's finicky and can cause you to miss shorter screens.

The next update, though, adds the option to add a Next button to move on, as well as a second scenario.

There's no way to solve the Helga/Meloni puzzle without a wish.

And the save file thing is a limitation of HTML and Twine, so it will be always tied to your browser cache, unfortunately.

Due to the way itch.io does downloads, you can't download the most recent version that plays in the browser. You can, however access it on my Patreon. Version release posts always go public when itch.io gets updated.

The circular arrow in the sidebar will let you reset the game. That's the only real way to change the names, unfortunately.

Eager to explore has the best results for expansion content. Fairly good mood is her default.

There's no way to get the "best" ending without a wish. You are able to leave and return Kirsten to normal without using one.

It will get one more patch that fixes a bug or two that were preventing some content from being accessed (so kind of getting new content), but there will be no further content updates. Just occasional patches.

I'm currently finalizing the first Version Release of my next game for Patreon supporters, so that will show up here in around 6 weeks (it's less an adventure game and more a pseudo chat-bot style experience).

After a few updates to that game, I'll begin work on another text adventure like this one, with a future sequel to Enter the Expansion Mansion planned, as well.

It is not possible to get to max size and also get the best ending. I wanted to include something for those who chose to forego the best ending to still find a fun thing.

you need to play and discover the code to the keypads. Then start a new game and enter the code before you actually learn it. You will get a secret ending that is technically a continuation of another bad ending you can get.

Yep! April 14 and 19 are the dates for V1.6.0 and V1.6.1 public releases. Any future patches will likewise get a public release.

Hey, thanks so much! Glad you're still enjoying it! It has been a super fun project.

There are no plans to include images in the game. The cost to commission the art and complexity of incorporating images to account for the various possible paths would simply be prohibitive.

This is phenomenally well done!

I'm currently learning Harlowe and making my own Twine BE games, and this blew my mind. Very well executed!

All of them stem from the Devil in the Library. Many off the wishes will either have no immediate effect but will add an epilogue to the story as long as you don't get a "bad" ending. Others will send you directly into a new ending.

Some wishes are only available if you've explored enough or the wife is big enough, so do plenty of exploring before you make your wish.

Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it!

In no uncertain terms, I am 100% against the use of AI programs to create art. Full stop.

It won't actually do anything. It's just there for fun.

Same here. Me draw pictures with words. :D
