Hello everyone - I shall post this into Teams also.

When you are uploading to our itch page you need to publish it to the public. otherwise we will not be able to see this. You can either separate them out into individual uploads, or in one self contained ZIP file.

If there is an issue please post to teams. I am sure the GameJam community for L3 and HND Games Design will help out :)

Rupert

A good question! This is the first time that we are using it also. there will be some issues :)

So far I think you need to publish your game on your itch page before you submit also. If someone would like to help us out that would be great.

Thank you

Rupert

Just double-checking that this is not your final submission and only a test?

After some questions in class, and for further clarification, we have updated the Judging Criteria to give a better understanding of how the judging panel with be looking at your game submissions. Please look back at the main game jam page for this additional text, but we have copied it below for convenience:

    • Mechanics should be intuitive and work without major bugs or issues.
    • Bonus points for creative or innovative gameplay elements.

    • The game should have cohesive and intentional art direction (even simple visuals can score well if thoughtfully designed).
    • Audio should enhance the experience, whether through sound effects, music, or ambiance.
  4. Overall Presentation - 20 points - How polished and complete does the game feel as a whole?
    • Games should have a clear, professional feel, even if they are simple in scope.
    • Menus, instructions, and user interface elements should be intuitive and easy to navigate.
    • Bonus points for thoughtful finishing touches or an immersive experience.
  5. Documentation - 20 points - How well is the development process documented?
    • Teams should provide clear documentation, such as a short design document or development log.
    • Documentation should explain their concept, connection to the theme, challenges faced, and how the game evolved during development.
    • Bonus points for including visuals like sketches, screenshots, or notes that show the creative process
