Guys why is the free play and long haul broken

Every time I place a flag it just shows up as a static double flag. The captain is gone and the mine count and timer no longer work. Did I do something? Even after solving the board nothing happens.

(Edit: I found out what was happening. It was that the custom sweeper AND the default were selected, explaining the blank screen)

So I beat the 11 boss on novice (hurrah), so I moved onto the stage with 9, 10, and 11 in it. I beat that also, but then it send me back to the stage with just 11 in it. Is this a bug?
