Lord willing it will, i absolutely enjoyed your game. God bless and good luck on your adventures. Ill see you in the next jam 😁😁

(1 edit)

Hey, I Played the game, I am really sad i was unable to judge this prior the end of the jam. But i can see how much love and effort was placed into it and therefore I am going to leave a review. Honestly, this one would have won! I apologies for not being able to get back sooner but you made an excellent game in the time allocated to you and i think you REALLY have something be proud of.

5 Stars For Art
Art accompanied with animations and VFX were amazing. It really made it easy to immerse myself in the game world.

4 Stars for Gameplay
The shooting was fun (Id add some squish to the enemies when they are hit to add more of an impact), and the abilities were cool. I do wish I could have seen the theme more clearly then i did ( Maybe some mechanics based around our testimony ?) but i still really enjoyed the game and felt as if the theme was implemented well enough that it qualified as an entry.

5 Stars for music.

Music and SFX added to the immersion.

SIDE NOTE*

At stage 4 the game shut down and i was stuck paused, i could only exit to the menu despite selecting resume.

The game is cut off by a border and i can not play it

I was unable to play the game, please update with a bug fix! Iam sad because it looks fun!

I Really loved the visuals, animations.  and the simplicity of the mechanics (Reminds me of an old school game [which i dig]). Didn't take me long to figure out what the pages did to the player and what hitting the orb in the sky does. Never got to see the accuser but in revelations 12:11 it says that they overcome the accuser by the blood of the lamb and their testimony. I think It would benefit the project to incorporate some mechanics like that into the game.

5 Stars for Visuals
3 Stars for Gameplay
3 Stars for Music

`All development must occur within the start and end window. You may use pre-existing tools, engines, libraries, or frameworks, but the game itself must be built during the jam.`

Awesome Game, Professional Quality. 10/10

Cant wait to see the next iteration!

Thank you Marco, I was surprisingly able to get a lot done within the two weeks we all had but after the game jam is finished ill be adding more to the game as well as polishing it up a bit. Also the amount of enemies that spawn in each area are created from a random range. I am currently working on adding a wave system and a roll mechanic to help with the difficulty of the game. So if your interested in giving it another go in a couple of weeks you should definitely follow :]

I love this game. its as simple as that, my only recommendation is that you add a safe area and give more instruction to the player about the mechanics of the game. You can do this in the pause menu or something.  5 stars for enjoyment and 5 stars for the them!

Make sure to select windows as your platform in the file section were you uploaded your game. This way, people on the itch app can play it!

Honestly, a lot of cool things you accomplished in such a short amount of time. The Vaulting, and climbing were not the best but what can you expect from two or less weeks of work ? I loved the art design, and the cute little ladies chilling while you run up the beach. Just really made the environment 10x better by adding that little detail. I did run into some unintended areas and i felt you should know that the railing will guide the player. So when you start off on the patio the railing continues without a break so without thinking i just ran straight forward into a no mans land (also the lighting was not functioning correctly until i lost and restarted the game.) and the whole world started falling apart XD regardless of those things it was a fun experience and you should pat yourself on the back for what you were able to achieve. 3 stars for enjoyment[lag made it rough] and 5 stars for the theme  [honestly i wish i could give you more for the theme but here you go.]

God bless,  and have a nice day!

Thank you! ill be updating the game after the jam so feel free to keep this in your collection if your interested to see how it turns out. I definitely want to add more polish to the world, the enemies, and the communications in the mechanics. Personally, i think if i can get an indicator over the character while they are in the water, as well as have a more expressive UI for the water gauge, i could make the intended action for reloading a lot more clearer for the user.

Liked the visuals, but the enemies killed me instantly and i was hoping for different types of enemies. I would just run around in a giant circle and hope that i could out run the mega crabs! 3 for enjoyment and 5 stars for theme. Great job

I thought the game was amazing. I really enjoyed it, the bard ants were the only ants that visually explained the decisions i made however after playing the game for 5 mins my game started lagging a lot. Despite the lad I had a blast and ended my session with over 1k ants. It was fun! 5 stars for enjoyment and 5 stars for theme. amazing work!

Could not play through the itch app. In the file section of your game page make sure to click the Windows icon. let me know when you have this remedied this so i can play! :]

This game was fun and the theme was met. 4 stars for enjoyment and 5 stars for implementation

Really liked this game, and i respect the time and effort placed into it. I created a infinite scroller once and the hardest aspect is getting the obstacles just right so the player always has a way to skillfully navigate them. It was not done perfectly in this game but it was definitely done well. Great work, 4 stars for enjoyment and 5 stars for theme implementation.

Theme was definitely felt in this one, Didn't really understand the game. So i just walked around and collected things. cleared the beach and had a party. Didn't feel connected to the island but i respect the amount of work that went into the game. 2 for enjoyment and 5 for theme!

Alliso, I had this issue as well. To fix, on your game page where you upload the file make sure to select windows as a platform and you should be good!

No use of the theme, But i like the art style. The character was cute and it was fun to see him run around. gameplay was short lived but engaging for the time it was. I didn't feel challenged enough and ended up running under a stalactite after 3 minutes. 3 stars for enjoyment and 1 star for the theme implementation.

Love the art direction but the game made my clicking finger hurt Q.Q. 3 for enjoyment and 5 for theme.

Interesting concept. I feel like the game meets the quota for the theme but this game also makes my clicking finger hurt Q.Q. I feel like there is a less "clickie" way to get the user to engage. Other then that, i like the concept and the art direction. 3 stars for Gameplay, 5 stars for the theme. awesome work, thank you for sharing!

Thank you my friend :

Got it working on the itch.io app. Thank you for letting me know "]

A Grand Slam of a jam submission. Great work on everything!

Amazing game, The Art is great, the sfx are great, the animations are good, everything works really well together. My only critique is i wish i had the capability to shoot my bow in the direction opposite to where my character is currently facing. 5 stars across the board

Summer Zombie survival brought a huge punch when it came to the overall "Summer" theme but didn't bring much of a punch in regard to combat. The water gun was a fun idea but let me blast the zombie into the ocean with it!

HAHA love the zombies suit, i had the same idea with my enemies in my submission as well. The battle was "How do i make scary monsters fit the theme ?" and the answer was "Put them all in bathing suits". Awesome stuff, great work :]
