The actual "savegame" and other user data is stored in

C:\Users\"user"\AppData\LocalLow\Naughty Habits

Try deleting this folder and start Archive again. Make a backup in case you have a savegame you want to keep.

Hey, thanks for your report. Somehow I missed it, sorry. I'll fix that.

Hey Aidbot,

what loading screen you are talking about? The one when the game loads, right before the main menu or when you start a story?

Ah, I see. When you have two MGs. One of them with a thousand images and the other with only one, halve of the time you will be shown the one image. Good point. We'll add some balancing to that. :)

Hello!

Are you talking about a rating system? Like tagging an image with 1-5 stars for example?

Saldy that means she doesn't support it, yes,

Actually it is somewhat easy to add a kink, so she would accept it as an answer. But it would not trigger any story content then. We would have to write it first. Expanding the possible answers / kinks is something we want to do. But at the moment we try to push the main story first. And we also have plans to make it easier / possible for anyone to expand and add such personal details to Archives story. But, again, this feature has been set aside for some time.

Hi again,
ok cool. We also found the reason why it happend. We changed some values to faster progress through the story. And now you were able to get to this game without unlocking some kinks first. We fixed that for the next update.

Thank you for reporting the bug!

Have a nice day.

Hi,

thanks for reporting the issue. She never did that before. :/
We will look into it and keep you updated!

Hi blunderbuzz,

thanks for your kind words! It's great to know that Archive keeps surprising you! :)

So, yes. I do somewhat struggle with the english grammar. But I hope it's getting better. If not I might look out for some help.

As for the error, it's hard to figure it out with such little background info. My bet is that it has nothing to do with the loading of the image. When an error occurs it sometimes interrupts the execution of futher code. In other words, I assume something else went wrong. If you have such an issue just restart the game. Usually the story saves automaticly and you should be able to resume.

You can also send us the bug report that is saved to the game folders "log" directory. The easiest way the send this file should be by joining our discord server. There is a link on the project page.

And don't worry. We will keep on going with Archive! :)

And

Hi Moabkilr45,

that looks fancy. But sadly no, it's not a feature.

We have experienced this bug while coding in our editor, but not in the standalone game. Did you do anything special? Like fast forward, changing settings just before it happens, etc..?

Hi,

maybe it is a bit slow. Especially if you are a native english speaker. But we don't want to annoy those, who are not, as well. Anyhow, maybe a bit more speed will indeed not hurt.

And we still have to write a keyboard settings menu, because there is a skip button. It's the arrow to the right.

That's exactly what I did code.. but forgot to activate. :D

Ok, what's missing is the database clean up. But that's on my list.

The reason for the pictures not being in the programs folder is .. in the end just a bug. Sometimes you see a problem but are stupid enough to not come up with a solution. And over the time you forget about it. That's where this is at. The "problem" is, that while a folder is inside Archive folder structure, it will be categorized as relative path when scanning. This is necessary for the system images, but can of course be ignored or better noted when setting up a media folder. That's all I have to change.. Don't ask me why I haven't came across this fix earlier.. :)

Btw. I you like to exchange more feedback or read about bugs & the development as where we are at feel free to join us on Discord!

Thanks again fpr your feedback!

Hi again,

ok, as I thought. Yes that's something I'm currently fixing. Archive should of course not try to load old / unavailable pictures. An in addition you should be able to get rid of them. A new version is in progress but it still needs some more testing before I upload it here on itch.io.

What's quite funny is, that you are by far not the first person who copies the pictures into Archives folder. And that's the only location where they're shouldn't be in. Because the programm can't handle this. ;) I really have to fix this or prevent it from happen.

Hi aerothick,

thanks for your feeback. Did you also delete or move to folder / pictures?

Hello, use alt + enter to switch into window mode.

Funny though that it has changed. Maybe we should bring in some more graphic options.. ;)

Thanks for pointing this out! Have a good day,

NH

Hello,

this is quite strange. Either archive should replace all of this #variablename# things or none. Is it really the only one that does not get resolved??

Yet I have no quick solution to this. If you feel so, you could edit one of her chapters yourself. Add a variable node where the variable "ArchiveName" becomes modified. Just type in here name.. or any other .. ;)

^^ I'm sorry, it's not my native language..  I try my best to correct the grammars mistakes. Thanks for pointing these out..

Hello,

thanks for your feedback reguarding the performance. I'm glad to read that Archive performs well on your hardware. :)

I'm not a 100% sure, but "Go Ahead" must be the answer option when you return from an interrupted play session. Did you? Does she talks about that it was odd that something shut her down? If yes, then choose the "Please, let's restart." option. You then will enter from the beginning. Down worry, your progress isn't lost then.

Ahh.. and no.. you don't have to pick a chapter by yourself at any time.

Greets,

NH

Hi,

again I have to thank you for your time.

I was able to reproduce the performance issues. They were really bad, exactly as you mentioned. So, I switched back to the old graphics for now. I will run more tests on that upgrade first. It will come. And when it comes, it will need a little more performance than now. But not nearly that much as in v0.2.003.

Also I was able to reproduce that "sissy" issue. It's fixed now, but I'll wait some more days before pushing a new version online. I'm waiting for some other bugs reports of people who said they had similar problems like you.

Regarding your other word, I did not found any problem. Also I can't reproduce this.. but maybe the mentioned other bugreports will reveal something.

Usually archive does save your decisions and you don't have to tell her over and over. I assume she doesn't in this case because she crashes right after that. Nevertheless this is a bit odd. Because she does remember very she crashed.. hmm.. i'll have a look on that, too.

Have a good day sir,

NH

Hello,

first of all, thanks for your reply!

your ingame fps are below 5? Ok, this is not good. And What  GB are you taking about? RAM? Of the CPU or GPU? Can you give me a little bit of information about your hardware specs?

On a 4K resolution I get 60 FPS with a 40% workload on my gtx 3070 graphics card.

What tag for example cuases this bug?

Have a good day,

NH

Ok, that's interesting. I never thought about that this way.. The "test" button is of course to test the chapter, but more during the writing / developement process. I never though about someone who just want to see what it is..

Yeah, you found a bug. It's because we forgot to disable save while in testmode. We will fix that with the next update which will come next week i guess.

Thank you for helping!

Hello Frogger!

You can delete the progress via the menu. Select the story and instead of hit play, hit the "edit" button in the navigation bar on the right. After that the "Delete progress" button will become available.

Other than that, the gamefiles are stored in:

C:\Users\username\AppData\LocalLow\Naughty Habits

And may i ask you why you want do delete? Are you stuck?

Have a good day!
