Thanks! The idea was for it to be a chill experience with some darker undertones in the descriptions of the biomes and upcoming features. I tried to lean into the wonder of discovery aspect of it for the overall concept.

Thank you for your comment! The descriptions were the hardest thing to come up with.

I'm hoping to add an album of planets and an overall codex of discoveries in a future update, so that 22 might not be final ;)

I promise rotation controls will be the first thing I fix! I wonder if inversion should be a toggle or just re-inverted.

Thanks!

The initial concept looked much more like Alchemy: with brushes for the four elements, light, dark, magic, etc. The scope was enormous frankly, so I leaned heavily into the limitation of locked in: paint once and watch your world grow.

I plan on expanding the effects of time on tiles, adding rare spawns that the player has to spot and random events. Also, a visual overhaul for which I had no time. Do you think that with that added interactivity having more spots to paint on would still be necessary?

Rotation controls definitely need improvement haha. Will do for next update! (I got exams so not this week tho)
The game will expand in the near future. I started the jam with lots of ideas and ended up cutting a lot. The focus was on getting the base systems up and running.

Thanks for your comment! :)

Made it in the Unity Engine with C#. You can see the project here. The actual code is in the assets folder, sub-folder scripts.

Best of luck in your programming journey ahead :)
