Overall: Amazing game!! You took a relatively simple concept and executed it masterfully—congratulations! I didn’t expect to see an arcade-worthy game in this jam, hahaha. Well done!!

Fun: The game is a lot of fun, but I think the downside of a simple scope is that it doesn’t offer very long gameplay. Maybe adding more mechanics in the future could extend the fun for a longer time. ;)

Theme: What a perfect example of theme application! I felt like I was transported back to when I was 8 years old, playing on arcade machines and thinking I was a pro, even though I was terrible, lol. This game perfectly captures the essence of those old games with its mechanics and aesthetics.

Innovation: The game is innovative in what it brings to the table, and there’s nothing to complain about there. It didn’t surprise me with any “wow” factor in innovation, which is why it doesn’t get a 5, but it definitely innovates in everything it promises.

Gameplay: At times, I felt like I was playing a rhythm game due to how precise the clicks need to be. I’m not sure if that was intentional; perhaps increasing the player’s reaction area could be beneficial. Other than that, the gameplay is fluid, featuring three great variations, and is very well done without any bugs, apart from what I mentioned. Congratulations!

Graphics: I loved everything about the graphics in this game—pixel art, color palette, theme, everything! It might be a good idea to check the layer order of the player in relation to the tombstone, as it sometimes passes through the sprite. Apart from that, fantastic work! Congratulations!!

Audio: Regarding the audio, I think it’s important to pay more attention to it. There are some parts that are quite harsh on the ears due to very loud sounds. However, I confess that I really enjoy 8-bit music, so aside from the volume being a bit painful, I found it very enjoyable! Also, adding a laugh for the death sequence would be a nice touch >:).

Narrative: There wasn’t a direct narrative, but it felt somewhat implicit, and I think it suited the idea of the game well. A skeleton villain always works, hahah.

Overall: My overall rating is 3 because it is an extremely well-made game, but I felt it lacked a unique personality. I think developing this aspect a bit more could make it a great game. Regardless, congratulations on your game! ^^

Fun: The game is fun, but I felt it lacked some innovation and variety beyond just hordes. For example, a giant frog boss that jumps faster at the end of each horde could add an extra challenge and require players to pay attention to things other than where they should shoot.

Theme: The game adheres to its proposed theme in a nice way. This style of play has been widely used in modern games; even the swarm mode in League of Legends follows a similar format. It's an old-school setting, but it's still relevant today. I would have liked to see more explicit hints in the game that it has an old-school vibe. The mechanics feel old, but I felt it lacked an atmosphere that reflected that.

Innovation: I felt like the game lacked a bit of its unique style. Although the game is well-built, I felt like it lacked something with more personality. I mentioned this in the theme section, but I'll also elaborate on the graphics.

Gameplay: There's nothing to complain about in terms of gameplay; it's very well done and I didn't encounter any bugs. The controls are great too! I hadn't read about the dash feature hehehe, so when I pressed shift to check it out, I was pleasantly surprised. There's no major innovation in the mechanics, but the existing mechanics are executed masterfully.

Graphics: I really liked the design of the enemies — kudos for that! However, I was a little confused about the concept of the game. I saw Lego pieces and thought it would be in that style, then I saw a futuristic screen and thought it was about robots, and then there were animals that gave it a more cartoonish feel. I think the direction taken with the enemies could also be applied to the character and the environment, which would look awesome. Maybe an animal character with a gun would be really cool >:).

Audio: I liked the rock music in the background; made me feel like a giant destructive robot >:). However, I felt like it repeated itself too often. Maybe adding a second segment that played periodically would help. I also felt like there were no sound effects for the enemies and the character, especially for the character. It's a bit off-putting to hear the character being hit by animals while his ultra-mega blaster weapon doesn't convey much destruction in terms of sound. It would be great if the laser had a sound that reflected its destructive power.

Narrative: I don't think you explored the narrative, so it doesn't apply in this case. :)
