Thanks for playing! Yeah, we wanted to allow key rebinding but didn't quite get to it in time. It'd be cool to have more default binding options for different keyboard layouts too, and would probably be a nice bit of extra polish to get people to remember the game more.

Fun game with a unique concept. Like others have said, the puzzle tuning for the third one in particular was a bit of a difficulty jump, particularly because the hitboxes didn't seem entirely accurate. It actually got me to play until I won though, so it was definitely fun.

Hi! I'll play your game now. Ours is: https://itch.io/jam/scream-jam-2025/rate/3960637

I see I'm not the first to mention ctrl + w, apologies.

Fun little arena shooter with an interesting twist on the concept.

Eventually it just suddenly closed my entire browser, which may have been from crouching + pressing W, so control locking could probably be improved if it's going to be in browser.

Thanks for playing! Yeah, visual feedback was something we had plans for implementation but it came too down to the wire and had to prioritize other things. May continue iterating on it after the jam and see where it goes.

Thank you for playing! Will try out your game now!

Will try out yours! Ours is: https://itch.io/jam/scream-jam-2025/rate/3960637

Honestly the best thing I've played this jam. Somehow managed to remind me of a recurring nightmare I had a long time ago that always creeped me out and also be hilarious. I was dying at the random pictures of MJ. And the ending. Nice job.

Only critiques I'd give would be:

First jump scare was a bit too loud and I don't really think helped the scariness level that much.

Visual effects were cool, especially how you did the chromatic fog, but maybe a bit too strong, especially in the dithering. It hurt my eyes a bit and made it difficult to see the 2nd key to the point that I ran around the whole map a 2nd time before I went back and saw it.

Hey, looks like you sent your project file rather than a compiled game.

Interesting premise and gameplay loop.

Fun game! I played several times.

Some minor critiques:

Dialogue shows up a bit slow at the start/intro. Would be nice to skip ahead.

The loading time after plugging in an ID card could be shorter, it feels weird to artificially have to wait for it.

Fun little game. Never thought I'd be scared of bowling pins.

Visual style was really cool, including the 3D design.

Some hopefully constructive criticism if you'd like:

The volumetric fog was a bit too close to the screen to the point it hurt my eyes a bit.

Would likely be helpful if the events occurred sooner/closer together, or there was a bit more visual feedback about whether you're going the right direction. I found the ball, decided to look for Luis and then just wasn't sure if I was actually going the right direction.

I didn't seem to have any audio, but I see someone else below saying it was quiet so maybe I had to turn it up.

Will try out yours now! https://itch.io/jam/scream-jam-2025/rate/3960637

Would be great to see you play ours. https://itch.io/jam/scream-jam-2025/rate/3960637

Fun little game. The hitbox for changing lanes seemed to be based on exact input timing rather than when the animation to change lanes actually occurred, which threw me off a bit.

Fun game and an interesting concept. The first monster actually made me jump. Some more critical comments below, hope these help!

- The flashlight radius is very small. Rather than feeling atmospheric in the darker areas it feels a bit like looking through a telescope.

- I'm not sure exactly what the rope mechanic is. I was way into the negative numbers with it. I guess it's to see if you do better on the next play and use less rope?

- After I turned on the third power the monster spawned at the original spawn and kept screaming, I couldn't really figure out what to do so I went up to it.

- The music then got VERY loud and the settings didn't change the volume and I couldn't figure out how to finish the game, it kept just chasing me around.

Here's ours, I'll try to play everyone else's I can too! https://itch.io/jam/scream-jam-2025/rate/3960637#post-14555834

Thanks for playing! Should be fixed or more obvious now. You may need to backaway and go back towards the door near the telescope.
