It’s not true that you can’t go online. Demo version work perfectly for both Multiplayer mode and Virtual Playground 😅

Purpose of the demo version is to show you all the game modes & features but in a smaller format. One available location does the job perfectly.

Apparently, you're using hardware that will not run the high-end game (that requires you to have a decent gaming PC) anyway. On average, unpacking should take you  ~5..10 seconds

Because it's not compatible. Don't install it on itch.io 

Just download a zip file, unpack it, and run it on your Windows PC as any other program

My first suspect is RAM. I believe that you are hitting the memory limit during the load. Try opening the Task Manager during the game load and check how much RAM are used 

how much RAM and VRAM do you have? And what kind of GPU?

Are you 100% sure that you using  version 2023.6 DEMO downloaded from this site and not some alpha version taken from other sources?

физической RAM у тебя не могло быть больше 32/64. Открой task manager и погляди как заполняется память при запуске. Если игра слетает когда память подходит к концу — это точно память. Если нет, тогда нужно смотреть на драйвера GPU

Hey! I believe it is technically impossible to create a tournament with 2 characters. 4 is a bare minimum, no?  But anyway, autoplay is the same for every game part and the results highly depend on character stats/moves selection and pure luck.
