this is only an issue in the web build from my testing, so try downloading the .apk file and installing the game as an app. if you are already using the app then I'll look into that and fix it when I'm available to

Sad

do you mean how the zoom buttons snap to a specific zoom? cause I don't understand. if that is the case then I'll make it a hold button so it zooms out and in gradually

sorry, didn't have time to make the volume settings work. will be fixed after the jam

glad you liked the game, and thanks for playing. the ai is wonky since I had to spend more time on all the other content but didn't have enough to fully polish the ai especially in level 1 and 2, where they either can't jump sometimes or rarely do jump. I should make it automated using a package next times so I don't have to worry about it as much.

the speed/slipperyness/acceleration is something people already mentioned. it is kind of a preference but more people want it gone than not so next time we do a platformer in a jam were gonna make it less slippery. and yes theres a lot of bugs, if we had time to fix those the game would probably fare better.

thanks for playing. a few others noted the difficulty in controlling the player, including the slippery walking and how there's no coyote time for jumping. the more major issue I think is coyote time since it makes jumps a lot more annoying but I didn't have time to fix it up for the jam.

the amount of content is since I always set my scopes too high. should've just stuck with 15 or so effects instead of the nearly 30 in game and also worked on making levels longer since most of them despite being large, the game can be beaten in under 3 minutes and some levels under 30 seconds. I'm gonna try making a random level generator tool in case something like this happens again so I can just use it and get on my way.

many people hate the clouds and I get it. I should've made them give levitation (which is an unused variant of the effect they give that's like slow falling making it less annoying) but I forgot to check when I was dealing with those two effects and now one is unused and one is used for multiple attacks. sorry about that.

sorry about that, the game is meant to be chaotic but I made it way too chaotic, specifically the shock and ascension effects are just super annoying especially paired with some of the other movement effects. I always have much higher scopes in jams than I should and it goes wrong every time. there also is just a lot of bugs due to me putting alot of time into random things I shouldn't have. thanks for playing though.

thanks for playing. about your issues:

the reason for the rng on the last level is due to us planning out 25+ effects and having no time to give all of them a unique way to get. I always take a specific route which lets me win most of the time since you can get all the needed effects and have them for enough time but it depends on if you get really bad effects or slightly bad effects since they can vary.

if you're talking about the slight slipperyness of the movement, that was to try to make the movement more fluid, but some people prefer more instant movement. from now on we'll try to make controls way less slipeery and more instant/reactive unless he game requires it.

most of the effects being called the opposite of what you think can be explained for most of them. slow recovery, although it extends your debuffs which makes it slightly easier to beat levels, having extended debuffs for so long makes you take a ton of damage and leads you to get killed easily if not paired with many positive effects, and quick recovery will cause you to take less damage from effects due to it making them all last less time. those ones make sense to argue against since that was my original argument but now I somewhat disagree. about the ascension/floating effect, that one was a bug, sorry about it. and blindness usually doesn't work due to fog related things in unity.

most of our team couldn't work on the game during the jam  and thus I worked on it for a lot of time, but I think I got burnt out and didn't have the time to check for bugs. I think to prevent this happening we're definitely lowering our scope next time. sorry for the bugs.

falling out of the map is also a bug. it's because I forgot to add the ending cutscene to the scene list so it never loads. i completely forgot to test if the cutscene loaded which is completely on me, sorry. probably one of the more major bugs since you technically can never beat the game, sorry. thanks anyways, glad you enjoyed it.

game was alright but a little annoying due to bugs. sometimes you can get stuck on the front of cars or bikes and just not be able to get out for some reason. also that one pizza out of bounds. and personally i think the bike level should go before the car since its really easy, cause its fast, has less bikers, and is more open. the audio and art are pretty good though.

are you sure?

game was fun and unique, and the audio/visuals are great. gameplay is fun and challenging, only issue is sometimes when clicking on the screen to attack/ignore sometimes it just auto-clicks one of the buttons and often its the attack button. probably just my mouse though. great game

loved the game. great art and music, movement feels great, and its a unique concept. though i found one bug where you could clip into the terrain at the entrances to some rooms, the one i found was at the entrance to the left of the shop room. besides that, great game

glad you liked it. i tried adding a punch cooldown but like a lot of the other QoL features i added they all bugged out after i added stuff later on and i never noticed. also, the moving platforms bug i had no idea about, since i ported them over from another project i worked on a while back and usually they automatically stop to prevent crushing but i don't know what happened. sorry about the bugs and thanks for playing!

one of the best games i've played so far. very fun gameplay and doesn't get repetitive cause of the new enemies over time but the difficulty ramps up really fast. because the cube had way too much health i couldn't get past it since i kinda suck at shooter games in the first place and there's a lot going on. otherwise everythings really clear and makes sense, no bugs, great audio and visuals. loved it

really fun game but its confusing at first. simple story and good visuals and audio except for some of the sounds. it gets very fun when you have all the upgrades and then choose the bomb ball and nuke the entire lane

main issues are that there's nothing outside the lane besides the gutters and a black void which doesn't look the best (though the actual lane looks good). also wish it was easier to open the main menu, i got confused and just started spamming space every time i shot. besides that great game, really fun.

in my experience it was very hard to play but im not sure if i just suck at shooters. my main isssue was that i sometimes would randomly die when zombies were nowhere near me. also, reloading is quite annoying since you have to drag them into place, and they also have physics which makes it harder since they sometimes fly away when you try to put them in. they should just let you click them to put it in the first available area (the first empty one in order of shooting). about everything else, the art, audio, and narrative are good, and the game itself has pretty unique ideas. only thing i can complain about is enjoyment, mostly the reloading process.

and someone already mentioned it but the numbers on crates are misleading at first. shot all of my bullets at a crate cause i thought i needed to hit it 7 times to get bullets.

like everyone else, i think the idea was good but the main issue is the physics/movement of objects. the art and audio are good and the story is decent but its very hard to control the objects and move them where you want, because of multiple things:

  1. there are no shadows or way to determine if your object is in the correct location when mid-air
  2. its very slow to move objects and they all have the same weight. make most objects lighter but things like beds and closets stay the same since those can be heavier.
  3. its hard to rotate objects easily. you could try adding a way to rotate objects like scroll wheel while holding an object to rotate it in the direction that you hold from.
  4. the camera can't go very far down. it's my biggest complaint about the game since it has multiple downsides. it's very hard to look at your hiding spot/setup from other angles so it's hard to tell if it'll suffice and win you the game. it also makes it harder to move objects in most directions and prevent them from going super high up.

overall most things about the game are pretty good like audio and visuals but the execution for moving objects wasn't the best and needs some work.

i like the art but i wish there was more going on in terms of gameplay and audio. there aren't that many sounds and no music. the story is decent though there's a lot of games revolving around a meteor or nuke. overall decent game but the only highlights are in the art

glad you liked the idea. the 3rd level is a lot harder since it's more to test the players skill and endurance and also is a little luck-based sometimes so it makes sensee you stopped there, that's still very good.

about the dictionary, a lot of effects actually talk about other ones which was an oversight since i wrote all the entries to it before choosing where a few of them would be introduced or located and then completely forgot about the order I was supposed to use. sorry about that. thanks for playing!

thanks for playing, and I get what you're talking about since all the other debuffs are solely debuffs. and I'm pretty sure lava making you jump higher was unintentional. the thing that was supposed to deal with that was how you often get positive effects from enemies that will damage you while giving you the effect but usually the effect is more powerful. also if you're talking about the Shock debuff I kinda agree but we already put it in game and has nothing else to do with it. either way thanks for playing

thanks for playing, glad you liked the music!

the coyote time was implemented at one point but somewhere during development something must have caused it to stop working or I may have accidentally turned it down during testing. I probably will release a massive patch after the rating period since it's too late. glad you liked the idea and the music.

I too never wake up on time

great art and narrative, and i usually hate clicker games but the narrative made up for it in terms of enjoyment. wish there were more upgrades but of course time. pretty good for a clicker game

the game has a very strange vibe. its very goofy and a creative idea but its very eerie since there's no audio, and it gets boring quick. i get it if its because its sisyphus but it still should be a bit more detailed visually and in terms of audio. also, very basic story/idea.

game was pretty decent in some aspects but in others it could use some improvement. the gameplay needs a lot of improvement, you can get through basically everything except for the very start and very end just by holding jump and moving forward. the story is basic but it works, it's pretty good. the audio also needs some improvement in my opinion, got repetitive very quick. the artwork is fine though, pretty good, though i wish the background was more detailed. i liked how besides the paths to the bunker and your dog there was a little bit to explore, like the buildings being climbable all the way to the top. decently creative idea too.

i really liked this one, the movement system was unique yet fun to control, and the gameplay wasn't repetitive. its very challenging but fun to control and explore. almost everything about it was great!

pretty fun, the physics are very funny. i wish there was more variation in the vehicles but it still is a fun game and easy to get the hang of.

thanks for the feedback! after the jam rating period ends we will likely release a patch with a few quality of life changes including reducing the slipperyness. glad you like the game and music

this entire comment section is legit just people cosplaying as bosses bro

new showcase

there are a few issues with the web port and this is one of them, sometimes the camera improves when you quit and reopen the game or die and restart. you can also change your sensitivity

not yet, will add in next update but next one will take a while

(1 edit)

this DEFINITELY will be very important to the lore and gameplay and DEFINITELY NOT a short animation that plays just for aesthetic

this probably won't be able to be fixed, since I'm switching to a different decompile for the next update this this repo won't be updated

the game is going to be completely overhauled using a new decompile base and I'll try to fix the lag spikes you mentioned. events will only occur once for a run in the next update, so if you get mystery room once you never get it again in that run.

there are going to be difficulty settings in the game, I'll make it so in easy mode characters completely ignore the room itself, in normal mode they can see in it but can't enter, and hard/master NPCs can enter the room. in baldi's basics plus, in scenarios where the shop is present in a normal map (e.g. endless mode, register sticker) characters can enter so I think this is a good solution

if y you're on android you can't yet due to an issue unless you know what in the xml of the APK file to edit. if you aren't on mobile you can press the import button and choose a spritesheet, and see the format of the spritesheet by pressing the ? button next to the load out button. to actually choose the custom loadout press the blank tile next to the custom sweeper label

here is an example of a sprite sheet I made. it can be any size above 4x4 as long as it is a square:

phase 2 IS a difficulty spike and I don't know why. also had no idea the density was over 40% on NOVICE, that's insane and would be even for expert, I'm shocked I survived that

This doesn't work for everyone but it worked for me and someone else though we had to uninstall 2.1 first.

TO ANYONE WHO WANTS TO PLAY ON MOBILE EARLY:

Download an apk signer app, typically on play store. Use it to sign your MS+ 3 apk. This seems to be the issue for me since everything works fine once I signed the apk. Just sign it and then use the new signed apk to install.
