You've perfectly captured why this project is so important. That dream of having the original 1994 Killer Instinct on the Nintendo 64 is something so many of us share, especially because it was promised and never delivered.
We all saw that "Coming for Ultra 64" screen in the arcade, and it became one of gaming's great 'what ifs'. This project is about finally making that broken promise a reality. Thank you for getting it, and for being part of this dream.

The demo relies on high-accuracy emulation, which is why it might crash on some emulators. For now, it's confirmed to work perfectly on these setups:
Ares Emulator (on PC)
Original N64 Hardware (with a flashcart)
Analogue 3D
MiSTer FPGA (N64 Core)
