Another suggestion:

Itch is a great platform for receiving comments, it may also be a bit easier to organize things a bit more by trading the "comments" setting with "discussion boards" in your itch page's settings, but something that would be even better would be:

Opening a Repository (Empty or maybe for the Documentation) on Github or Codeberg, and using their Issue Tracker for keeping your Feature Requests, Bug Reports and other information organized.

The Repo may simply have a Readme linking to this page, documentation and other relevant information, instructions on how to report bugs, templates, etc.

Could also use the 'Wiki' part of these Repos to mirror your Documentation, or put it all as markdown files on the Repo itself.

It'd be easier to keep track of what is planned, considered, approved, rejected, in progress, implemented, etc.

I'm loving the template and I have plans to make modifications of my own for my own personal projects, but it'd suck if I implement a feature that you already intend to implement, since I can't see what's in the pipeline besides the comments here, and since this is a private commercial work, I can't contribute my work for missing features either.

Things that come to mind:

  • Alternative Fire Mode Support for Weapons (Right Click)
  • Monster Multiple Attack Support
    • Allow Monsters to Pick Attacks from a List
    • Could be based on Conditions (Player is Near or Far)
    • Could be based on Chance/Weights
    • Such that an enemy could Melee if you are close, Shoot if you are far, and maybe sometimes throw a Grenade
  • Monster Factions
    • Hostile to Player
    • Hostile to other Enemies
    • Friendly to Player
    • Friendly to other Enemies
    • etc (may be good to implement as a list of factions you are friendly, neutral or hostile to?)
  • Monster Infighting
    • Could work as a 'threshold' of 'patience' for enemies to turn on each other if their own faction keeps hitting them like it does in DOOM
  • 8 Rotation Support for Attacking and any other States (Necessary for seeing Monsters fight each other since they may not be facing the camera anymore)
  • Support for 'Patrol' Area for Entities to generally attempt to stay within, such as losing interest in chasing the player if they are too far from the Patrol area, walking around randomly in the Patrol area or by configuring a Path/Schedule.
  • Friendly Entities that can Follow the Player and stay in their vicinity.
    • Could just be an extension of enemies with a 'Player is Ally' faction.
    • Could work by setting an area around the Player as their 'Patrol' area.
    • Could have some kind of 'teleport' rubber banding if they can't follow the player for some reason.
    • Able to attack factions hostile to the player.

Thank you~!

Yeah, it ended up being sort of an chill idle game, tried to tweak some values and hoped to make it go faster, maybe add a 'fast forward' button, but we had to cut the idea uwu

Thank you~! The Title Screen we actually scrapped together from another jam project we on before, and reskinned it as quickly as possible to fit this project, we were really cutting it close, glad you liked it!

I also wished to put more info on what chemicals actually do, but alas, the time crept up on us~

Thank you! We cut a bunch of things we planned sadly, including tutorials and pause menus since we had the deadline right in front of us, along other mechanics (we planned to use the 'Here be dragons' wildcard too, which is what Alpha, Gamma and Beta were for, giving you a chance to get a random Kaiju, sort of an RNG manipulation juice, you could maybe get a super rare Kaiju that breaks the game, or a super grotesque mutant that can't even get past LVL 5)

They are secret ssssh

Really tho, hey are modifiers that affect the first, second and third rows of stats respectively, they are random though, you could be getting anything between -10% to 20% to their respective start for every 10ml of juice you mix from them.

Alpha affects Power and Special

Gamma affects Speed and Dexterity

Beta affects Durability and Guard

Didn't have time to tutorialise, we started late, so almost didn't make it to the deadline uwu

Yeah, the top 2 rooms open one door, the lower puzzle opens the other door, thank you for playing and finishing the alpha!

Plants are only getting more terrifying next update, but we'll be doing a pass to fix audio levels 🦋

The top puzzle is a bit trickier, there's two sides and two 'dimensions', if stuck, there's a 'failsafe' moth that opens an emergency exit if you explore around in 'dimension B' :>

Edit: (We are talking of the Forest Gauntlet, yes?)

Oh whoops, good catch! Seems we forgot to include it with the alpha, the pre-alpha had it included, we'll make sure to bundle it with the upcoming beta 🙏

Edit: Just refreshed the windows build to include the .bat file.

Greetings! We couldn't attend the stream tonight sadly, two of our devs are away on a game conference and the other two had to stream ourselves around the same time!

I watched the VOD however, I'm glad you like it and I'm sorry you got stuck during one section due to not knowing about the different flight heights, I'll be certain to share the footage with the team to tighten the tutorial and make sure all players are on the same page after they leave the starting area. 🙏

I'll also make sure to include a reference to the controls in the menu, I felt so bad when you went into the menus looking for it 😭

Just dropping some Dev Stream over here~
