I was able to get xinput to work, yes there are some missing bindings but you can select the input from the left pane and press the desired button binding.

Excellent game, by the way. Blown away by the quality and performance on a samsung  A70. 

Had the same issue- found that using another android keyboard allowed me to continue by pressing the "return" key.
