I'm so glad I finally got the chance to try this out! I love that you took the time to create multiple quests to motivate the player to keep fishing, and I think your world is really sweet. Your character design is fantastic.

I do wish there was a little bit more guidance to explore the small settlement and talk to the various inhabitants. I happened to wander over and talk to everyone, but it wasn't immediately clear to me that there were that many characters to talk to and it's easy to miss some of them entirely.

I think your fishing mechanic is super interesting, one of the most involved I've seen. I found it a bit frustrating, since it seems like no matter what I do the line almost always snaps. I think that's just an issue of practice on my end though, and I think you did a good job of making the mechanic feel unique to this game. I plan on going back and spending more time with it.

Great job to the team, this is a really polished experience and it's clear that there was a lot of love and work put into this!

Thanks for taking the time to check us out after the stream, we really appreciate your support!

I think the concept here is solid, and the transitions got a good chuckle out of me. I think the room is a bit large, which makes it really difficult to catch up if you start falling behind. I really enjoyed the music choice, it feels really atmospheric and sets the tone well.

The core concept here is really neat. The added challenge of each attack making you smaller is a really interesting one, same with the element of having limited time. I agree with the other comments mentioning the controls feeling a little slow and floaty, but I think the basics of this are neat.

This was very fun! I also struggled a little bit with figuring out the shooting down mechanic, but once I figured it out the rest was a lot of fun. This feels just challenging enough to be satisfying, without being so frustrating you want to quit. Good job, I'd love to see this expanded on!

Thanks for being willing to give it another shot, I'm sorry to hear that your first attempt didn't work out. I'm glad to hear that you were able to get farther on your second attempt.

We were really lucky to be able to work with Maya, she really did a wonderful job. Same with umarelll on the soundtrack. Glad to hear you enjoyed the experience!

Thank you so much for your comment! It's nice to hear that folks appreciate the narrative, it was a lot of fun to work with a team who was so open to making a narrative-focused project. Coordinating everything was absolutely a challenge, but it was so wonderful to see it all come together in the end.

Maya did a really wonderful job taking the lines and making them feel alive, we're very grateful to have had her on the project.

Thanks for taking the time to play our little game!

Wow, thank you so, so much! That means a lot, we had a great time putting this together and it's very gratifying to see that it's translating for folks. Thanks as well for your notes, they're definitely on our list of things to tweak. The equation puzzle especially has been a sticking point for multiple people, so we plan on leaving a hint to encourage players to use PEMDAS to solve it.

Thanks for taking the time to leave such an encouraging comment, it means a lot. We're excited to keep improving as we go!

Thank you for your kind comment! So glad to hear you liked it.

Thank you so much for taking the time to leave such a thorough response! We really appreciate all of your feedback.

I'm glad to hear you connected with the art style, our art team really did a fantastic job. As jun mentioned, some of what you mention is already on our radar but some of your points are new. We'll absolutely keep them in mind as we update things.

I haven't had a chance to try Arctic Angler yet, but I'm excited to give it a shot later today. Thanks again!

This is a beautiful game. I really love the art style here, it really makes everything so cozy. The rats are adorable! Unfortunately I wasn't able to fully figure out how to complete orders, and I wasn't sure if that was due to user error or an issue with the game itself. I think the concept is so solid and sweet though, so I'd encourage you to keep working on it!

I enjoyed trying this out! I appreciate that you made a lot of this yourself.

A couple of notes:  I really enjoyed that you learn abilities as you go through various levels, but I found some of the controls a little finicky. Especially the section where you have to jump across multiple trees above spikes. I do like how you counteract this by having frequent checkpoints. The music is also a touch repetitive, which can get a little grating if you're having to repeat the same sections over and over again. I also noticed the same issue with the jump sound that another player reported.

I'd really encourage for you to keep building your skills, because despite these small things this was a lot of fun!

This was really fun! The turning felt a touch floaty at times, but overall your movement feels really good and solid. This has a lot of potential and it would be fun to see it fleshed out more! Good job!

I think you have a really sweet idea here. I unfortunately ran into the same issues that others have been reporting and I got completely stuck inside the warehouse. I wasn't able to collect any more materials or exit. I encourage you to keep building your skillset, because this is a solid concept.

This is such a lovely game! I love the art style, and I think this is such a unique take on a fishing game! The progression is satisfying and world is really lovely. Great job! One issue I ran into is that I couldn't purchase other bait, no matter how many times I tried to exit and re-enter the shop.

This was fun to try! The different abilities are neat, and I like the hand drawn art.

This is such a fantastic game! I love your take on the jam limitation, and the switch between 2D and 3D is so, so fun. This is really impressive, you did a great job!

(1 edit)

A very cute game! I like your character model a lot and I think there's a lot of potential here. I was a little confused about how to actually do tricks.

This is a really fun little game! I particularly like that the snowballs don't instantly kill you, but instead push you around. I think there's a lot of potential here!

Thank you! I'm really glad to hear you enjoyed the experience, thanks for taking the time to leave a comment. We plan on looking at ways of making the final puzzle a little clearer, since multiple people have reported being pretty confused by it.

You're too kind, thanks for taking the time to play our game! I'm so glad to hear you enjoyed it.

Thank you for this very kind comment! Our artists did an absolutely incredible job. The consensus seems to be that the end puzzle is a little confusing in it's current state, so we plan to look into ways of making it a little clearer. As for the wizard, we wanted to leave a little bit of mystery, but maybe we'll follow up to see where he ended up!

Thank you for your extremely kind comment! The cleaning is meant to signify that you're putting the tower back into working order after it was neglected by it's previous occupant, but it's good to know that that doesn't translate super clearly. In terms of the math puzzle, it's high up on our list of things to tweak. It's meant to follow PEMDAS, and we plan on leaving a hint there since currently it isn't very clear.

Your sprite reminds me of the original Zelda game, which is fun. Unfortunately I didn't hear any audio, but I'm not sure if that was an issue on my head.

This has a lot of potential! The world is really beautiful, and it would have been great to see what you could have done with it with more time. One small note is that it would be nice to have some sort of waypoint or something directing you where to go ice fishing, since I was a little confused about that. I ended up walking up towards the mountains before realizing the objective was probably somewhere closer.

Really cute game, but oh my goodness that poor tree! I love the idea of multiple minigames like this, and I think you did a good job with it! The transition screens are really fun as well.

A really fun concept! I was a little confused at first, but this is neat.

Very cute and satisfying game! The art style is really nice, and I think this has a lot of potential for expansion.

This is such a lovely little game. I adore the art style, and the music is absolutely beautiful. I loved the music puzzle at the end, I think that's such a clever way to do it. Great job, I'd love to see this expanded upon!

Ha, that's funny. Great minds think alike!

I hope it works for you the second time, we appreciate you giving it another shot.

Hi there! Thanks for your message, and I'm so sorry to hear that you were having issues. The bust has been giving some players trouble, and it's very high up on our list to address with our next update. If you weren't able to move any of the pieces it often works if you exit by pressing E and then re-renter the cleaning minigame by interacting with the bust again. You aren't meant to rotate the bust when it's broken, so all of the pieces can be put back together from the front. It can take a little bit of rearranging to make it click into place.

I did notice that yours has a very similar premise, and I can't wait to give it a shot!

Really cute game. I love how everything was clearly hand drawn, it gives it a lot of character! It would be fun to see this fleshed out a bit more. I experienced the same audio issues that others reported, but I liked what I did manage to hear before it cut out!

A very sweet game! The variety of minigames is great.

This is such an interesting concept!

This is such an interesting concept for a game! I think some of the hints are maybe a little obtuse, but once you figure them out but it's really interesting.

This is such a sweet game. I loved the dialogue for your characters, I think you did a fantastic job giving them all fun personalities. Great job!

A really gorgeous and surreal experience.

Really gorgeous game! I found the flying mechanic a little difficult, but this is a really lovely accomplishment.

I adore the art style. Really fun and quirky little game.

Really fun game. I found the keyboard controls a little awkward, but I think you have a really interesting concept here.
