This game was honestly calm and relaxing to play, I especially liked the soundtrack. My only note is that I felt like I was dying as I swam further and further down running out of time. That's not necessarily a bad thing, but intentionally creating emotion in the player is super important. I think you did this really well with the whale shadow, I was a little nervous but then it turned out to be a friend and that was fun!

I agree with the other comment, The scilence added a lot for me, but it's lengthy duration made it feel like it just hadn't been added yet. Having sound and scilence would be a very cool dischotemy to play with.

Holy cow this feels like a game that I would watch youtubers play like 5 years ago. I mean this as a compliment if you couldn't tell. It's eerie and mysterious and I loved figuring out what to do. I really hope you end up finishing this!

I really love this game, I think that the concept is really powerful and the gameplay is beautiful, fun and a little challenging. I will say the concept behind the game is not immediately apparent from the gameplay. The combination of the two was what made this so impactful so having a way for that to hit a little stronger would be great.

I think the strongest thing about the game is the aesthetics and character design. I love the vibrant and adorable art style, it added a lot to this game. I think the game mechanics could use a little fine tuning, but the foundation is super solid and could manifest in an adorable adventure game if you had the time.

This game is beautiful and relaxing, while still offering a descent challenge. The code and mechanics are smooth and the artwork is BREATHTAKING. I have nothing but accolades, amazing job

I'm not totally sure why, but this game feels smooth and official. It's almost to the level where I would pay for it on steam and then genuinely enjoy it. I'm not sure what the overall intentions are with this, but I would highly suggest returning to this project and getting it to that level because it's so close!

I didn't beat the game, but I am going to! This offers a great challenge and i really appreciate that. I actively seek out challenge in games, especially when presented in intelligent and unique ways. The movement options for this were so unique, overall great job!

This game was incredibly beautiful, I was perhaps lacking a little context and clarity from the game alone, but after listening to you talk in class and reading this page I found myself enjoying the creative and abstracted ways you approached this topic. The best part of this project, for me, was the stunning visual nature of the worlds you created. They were wonderfully composed and the use of space, light and color made me enjoy this game a lot.

This game was really well put together. I know if was short and limited, but there was the beginning of a compelling narrative and world that was being created. I especially liked the relationship created between the cyborg and the kitty, it was a little bit absurd, but it was also touching and intriguing.  This game almost looked professional, I was so impressed!

Playing this game, I was thinking back to class. I remember there being a discussion about whether or not it was effective to incorporate both fictional and real-world content into this game, seeing as it deals with a serious topic, but I think in this case it worked well. There was a lot of context given to the reader and so the fictional elements did not take away from the real injustice occurring. If anything it felt as if you were calling to light the hypocrisy of the bodies seeking to prevent people from seeking asylum. This game was creative and I especially enjoyed the 2D graphics on the title screen and such.

I play tested this game in class, and tbh it was really fun! (Kind of hard though!) The way you move throughout the underground compound makes you think, and getting through that door while the clone is chasing you is delightfully infuriating. I agree with what you said in class, and having a frozen tundra end screen would be the perfect way to end this experience. Overall, weird, funny and fun game, amazing job!

This game made me kind of uncomfy.... but in a good way? The art style you used to create the levels is so disconcerting, but that was what made it so interesting to move through the world and actually finish the game. I think, having everyone creating very similar work, it's easy to make a boring and expected outcome, but this was totally unique and I enjoyed playing it!

Not gonna lie, I am a little bit in awe of this game! It's definitely hard and frustrating to play, but you've done a really good job at creating a challenge that doesn't bore the player. I wanted to finish the game, no matter what! I also enjoy the different ways you set up obstacles throughout the game and how you varied the players interactions with the levels. Honestly, fantastic job!

Reading about the game's connection Radiohead's If Yo Say The Word made me like the game a lot! It would be interesting to have that be something the player has to read about before proceeding to the first level because the context added so much for me. I also enjoy the semi open world feel this game has, it was refreshing after seeing so many maze runners.

This game was beautifully rendered, the artwork encapsulates the topic very well. I remember in class you being unsure about the levels of abstraction you applied to each stage of grief (by not labeling them), but I think this was very effective. It adds an element of searching and loss to the journey that connects back to your theme effectively.
