Not sure if I'd consider this an ambient track, per se. However, you have some cool sounds that I think, if utilized in the right way, could definitely form the basis of atmospheric ambience.

This track is so unique. The composition is very well structured and definitely evokes a sense of the fantastical that compliments the inspiration image well. I will say, it is a bit chaotic for my tastes and the relative volume of the instruments tends to be pretty high. I think if you introduced some more dynamic shifting within your track, I would consider it one of the best in the submission pool. Great job!

A+ on ambience. Absolutely love your use of your pedals (the Dark Star, Fable, and Lore are some of my all time favorites that never leave my board). I agree with some others that I think the tracks could benefit from a bit more progression and deviation away from the noise aspect you have going on, but overall I really enjoyed your work and would love to hear more from you.

While I really do enjoy the sound overall, I don't think it quite fits the ambience of the theme. It's a bit too busy, in my opinion. The background piano driving the bass sounds is really good and I think the track could benefit from exploring that type of atmosphere more. The other textures are very well done though! Overall I think you did a great job.

usually ambient music is defined by not having a definitive beat and is created to enhance an atmosphere rather than be the main focus

Ah yes, the super huge wall of sound technique! Lore and Fable are similar-ish, but the Fable is more granular-delay than reverb whereas the Lore is straight weird reverb. I feel like either could serve the same purpose if you had only one, but they work so well together, I just couldn't help myself haha.

Dang I think this may be my favorite track in the jam. You absolutely nailed the super high tension vibe. Very well done.

Honestly kinda reminds me of playing a Sims game haha, that's a good thing though!

Such a creative mash up of multiple genres and feelings. This is amazing work!

Love the Lore so much, great use of it! I used the Lore and Fable in stereo on my track and I just can't get enough of the sound that combo makes.

Such a captivating track. Love everything about it!

Some screenshots I forgot to upload to the main submission page.

Interesting piece! I think it could benefit from some open/expansive, reverb-y pads (at least light ones in the background) to give a feel of freedom and adventure. I agree that it is a bit repetitive, but I feel the overall style fits the image well.

Absolutely fantastic piece! Fits the theme of Extreme G very well imo. Well done!

sure did haha. should be fixed now, thanks for letting me know!

Hello, my name is Auguress and I love to make ambient, atmospheric dreamscapes for mediation, video games, or background listening. I've done one other game jam in the past and had a ton of fun. Hoping to find another team to join for this jam since I think it better suits my style. Please check out my SoundCloud page to hear some of my work.

Thank you for your consideration!

Love the mechanic of the color switching for the platforms! Well done!

Pretty interesting game tbh. However, not sure if there was an end goal or not, and as others have said, a tutorial or at least some instructions would have been helpful!

This game is so silly. Made me laugh quite a bit. Well done with the interaction bits!
