Read a few of the postmortems (unfortunately not all because I have work to do, which this so rightfully interrupted) and I'm glad you all wrote them. I think everyone in the comments has spoken already on the things I loved about this work, but if I could also gush about the world-building? I know that there were canonical reasons in the postmortems as to how Nita ended up becoming one of the fungi, but the fact that she became one of the fungi in the first place was horrific. The images of the computers being surrounded by the moss makes me think that the computers saved everyone's data, but purely computer second lives weren't truly able to exist. Instead, the data leaked into the nature around it and finally onto the fungi. Pure speculation on my part, but it seemed like everyone else's data was thus uploaded to the "fungal" network by accident. The unsaid possibilities in this story are as horrifying as they were beautiful. An incredible choice from everyone in production.
On a more personal note, this visual novel made me cry quite a bit, I think because of how much it's mirrored a lot of the (also gay) relationships I've had in the past. Every fight and every conversation felt like something an old partner and I said to each other. It was scary, in that way, to be so seen by a story written by people who I've obviously never known but who have also gone through similar things. So, thank you so much for creating this visual novel. It has touched me (like fungi!) in ways I could never put into words. I hope everyone who took part in this is proud of themselves.
