I had fun playing it! Unfortunately, when I reached 998 coins, I couldn’t collect any more or finish the game. I like the design though. The controls feel smooth. The idea that above water and underwater provide different supplies adds a lot of fun to it.

I like how you interpret the theme, but I feel I need some tutorial. I just randomly WASD around and clicked into a room. Now I just stand behind a colorful piano and wasn’t sure what to do next.
But I like the atmosphere very much, and the art style feels very polished. I’m also very curious about the story.
My work is inspired by Hollow Knight as well! Your game is much more complete than mine though. The art is very stylish, especially the first boss. It felt just like a picture book. It’s nice of you to make the spikes and death not very punishing, but I still died on spikes hundreds of times. I managed to beat Mr. White (had no idea how I did it), and literally couldn’t get past the first floor of the tower. You really put the Path of Pain in it, didn’t you? Maybe I’m just bad at 2D platformers, but I feel like I’m more used to the Hollow Knight key settings — it would be much better if I could modify the keys in the menu or something like that.
At the beginning I was a little overwhelmed by a full page of manuscript. The key design makes sense and is actually easy to pick up, but in the second half of the game I was mostly just staring at the cats, waiting for them to finish. Maybe you could work on designing a tutorial or multiple levels. Also, the main cat floats above the key tutorial window, which is a bit annoying. Despite all of that, I like the music. It’s a creative way to interpret the theme as well.
