There are unofficial walkthrough mods floating around, although I don't recommend them. They are usually the source of the bug reports we get.

As for an official version: maybe. I've been wanting to integrate a walk through in game at some point, but it's always on the back burner -- but there are other things game wide that I want to overhaul to at some point, so it may eventually be added. Some of the scoring, especially when it comes to how the exhibition winner is determined in week 2, is admittedly arcane.

Oh, and I misspoke in my above typo: the threshold for the hug is 22 affection.

Hey, thanks for using your time to share your (lengthy) feedback.

Starting with the comments related to itch: We will (likely) turn on the ability to purchase the game at some point.  I've neglected to do so because Pale Carnations is ultimately a free game and we plan on using itch as a platform for the public release. However, I recognize that some devs treat it like a tip jar of sorts.

As for the music, it's all under the creative common license, so I don't believe we can sell it, but I'll look into the itch server thing. I think I didn't bother last time since I had to manually contact itch to host a file larger than 1GB.

Moving onto the direct feedback:

Yep! My biggest weakness when it comes to the project has been game design, especially working in ways to evenly apply the different perks. Your suggestion is both thematic and interesting, and while not exactly what you suggested, it's got me thinking of maybe an alternative implementation of just using it to lower the difficulty of certain social checks.

Thanks again for the feedback; I've filed away that continuity error you pointed out.

Hmmm, the game should already have 100+ sound effects. Are you missing them?

iiirc, it requires having 25 affection with her, which is more strict than the usual affection checks by design. Basically, she's a tough cookie to crack and there are some choices in the game that will just tank your chances.

It's entirely possible it's too strict, though.  We've had a few people think so, but not really enough for me to gauge if it's unreasonable in a blind play through. If it proves to be, the numbers can be tweaked.
