I thought it might be the Brave browser, but I just tested it, and I can refresh the page without losing any data. There is a save/export option in the settings menu that you can use to save your progress.

I've been working on a prestige system since my last update. It's a larger feature, and testing has been time-consuming, and I'm at the point of the year when I'm tending my actual garden. I'm not sure when the next update will come out.

It shouldn't have reset from any in-game mechanic. Did you clear your cache between days?

Thank you for pointing that out. I believe that's just a documentation issue. I'll make sure it's fixed in the next update.

That's when you buy a larger farm. Wait a bit until you have more exp and unlock more plots on the next farm. It takes a few iterations before you can get to those high-level vegetables. 

The drought weather event gives one knowledge a day.

Farm plots expand based on the experience you have when you purchase the new farm. Experience gain is boosted by the amount of knowledge you have when you gain it. There's a decent number of 'hidden' mechanics that I've been trying to find a good way to display to the user without cluttering up the  UI.
