that's likely why. just looked. my CPU is an i3-1005G1, running at 1.2ghz. definitely old, and i think it's basically factory scrap. hoping to get a better one here soon.

I've got a vivobook 15. Its... I'd say around a 2018 budget model. It can run most VNs but the only one that actually gives me issue is this one. The Headmaster is a little glitch, but not full stop motion like ripples.
I'll be updating to a newer model in a few months. Here's hoping the issue is fixed then (either my old laptop or the games files, whichever it is).
Question: are the animated scenes supposed to be kinda stop motion, or does my computer just suck?
I know my pc is weak, but it can handle most animated Renpy VNs without issue. For some reason, ripples here seems to be the only one that really pushes its graphical limits.
Other than that, fantastic game and I'm looking forward to the rest.
So, not sure why but the game keeps freezing randomly. like, i'll play for 5-10 minutes, then it just stops. i have to alt-tab to quit, reopen, and resume from last save. i get another 5-10 minutes, then rinse and repeat.
also, i've tried restarting from the beginning like another person said fixed it for them. didn't help at all.
so, just an FYI for Pers0nas, during the Chinaka riddles, on the first, i answered correctly. however, it was marked as wrong because it wasn't clear that it needed the qualifier first. generally, just the noun is required for that answer.
not sure if its intended to irritate your players, or if its a limit to the coding possible in renpy. just figured you'd be interested in knowing. and if i may suggest, it might not be a bad idea to make all answers multiple choice, or allow for alternative answers (such as "name" as opposed to "your name").
Its reasonable to not want to spend money on an unfinished product. Especially when there is no guarantee it'll ever actually be finished. There are plenty of examples of abandoned games on this site alone.
But I'm barely 10 minutes into 0.4, and its definitely worth it - assuming it doesn't get abandoned or otherwise discontinued. I'll continue with the free versions, and when its complete, I'll happily pay for the fully completed game.
When the android version launches, will you be making an announcement either in the dev log on here or on discord? I'm excited to play. But sadly, my laptop monitor is fairly well busted, so I have to wait.
Edit: I did try downloading the windows version for use with Joiplay, but it seems its incompatible, so waiting it is. Just wanted to let anyone else with a similar idea know ahead of time.
So, im not sure if its just me, but the uncompressed android refuses to install (i have plenty of space and ram, being 20 and 6 respectively). However, the compressed worked fine to install.
That aside, another workaround im going to try for the higher quality images is to play the PC version via joiplay. I mention this for anyone else having similar issues.
Double check that you have indeed completed "Walking on air" and "Divergence". if those are completed, it may be a RNG trigger, as I've never had an issue with it in any of my 3 playthroughs.
It may also be a bug due to having the missed event "Sleep Forever", which I wouldn't know as I tend to use codes to pseudomax affection and lust early on (I hate grinding in VN games).
Only other recommendation would be to join the discord server and ask there. The Admins tend to check that far more frequently than they do itch.
Also, im sure there is a way to alter your save to show that you didn't get the missed event "Sleep Forever", but I'm unsure entirely, which the admins could also assist with.
Absolutely astounding game. You want sex? Its here. You want humor? Its here. You want scenes that make you feel horrible, or depressed, or the like? All here. How about a mysterious time-travel-but-not-time-travel because time travel isn't realistic story? Yup. Truly a masterpiece.
As a final note, I want to mention that most H-games tend to have relatively two dimensional characters (I mean writing wise, not the "Molly Ideal"), but Lessons In Love seems to genuinely grow the characters. There are so many things I want to mention specifically to praise, but to prevent too many spoilers, ill try to keep it vague.
Every character has a uniqueness to them. But there are a few that stand out. Nodoka, Touka, Yasu, Matoko, and more. They have their tropes but then defy and/or redefine them. Easily a 9/10 (sorry, a confusingly complex event map is a limiter for me). I look forward to the next update.
Agreed, so I skipped past most of it. However, I did notice something. Raid plugs usually seem to go on forever, and this nearly double their usual read-time. Additionally, approximately half of what was said was clearly a blatant mocking of the usual plugs. As such, while I personally found it tiresome, I also found it equally humorous, and must give the Devs kudos for it.
