I knew there was more and I really wanted to go further and experience more of your creativity and hard work!
So, connect with me on LinkedIn and send me a DM with a hint on how I can manipulate that climb! 🤫
TBH, I only had about 10min to play each game submission, but now, I’ve got a little more time and I’m a “finisher” type of player - so not completing a game kill’s me! Haha!
⁃ Fun puzzler
⁃ Could have a few on screen promos or over with basic instructions (figure out controls and configure by dragging, etc.) really basic and easy to implement with a full screen overlay that can be exited easily or recalled.
⁃ Concept is wonderfully inviting through its simplicity
⁃ Would have loved to see a little more visual feedback in the UI - indicating greater urgency or realtime feedback to user decisions (or visual reaction from have visually giving player feedback).
⁃ Some of this was achieved, but a greater focus on visual feedback towards the user experience (UX) would provide a little more emotional investment and reward.
⁃ All in all the game loop and core idea is wonderful and killer clever.
⁃ Not necessarily the easiest pick up and play, but once the core mechanics are understood by the player, the game takes on a life of its own!
⁃ Well done!
⁃ Simple mechanics, would have liked to see a double jump at least, make for more level variety
⁃ Never was able to get through final jump puzzle on cliff side 🤬
⁃ Visuals were fairly consistent and minimalistic
⁃ Could have used a few cheap VFX for variety
⁃ Collision detection on the spikes where too wide of radius. I recommend “Per pixel collision.”
That all being said, i see the work and care put into this! Very well done!
