YOU'RE MISSING THE GREATEST PART, A WORK OF ART!
IT'S MISSING A LITTLE BIT OF YOU!
i think people are often drawn to demonic entities and transformations because it manifests the pain as real. it's the same logic most have for doing self-harm amongst other things, at least in my eyes. if people can just believe that you are being possessed, you'd be absolved of blame.
and yet our bodies are still ours. i'm not quite sure how to "fight off" these "demonic entities" but what i do know is that we are constantly vulnerable and capable of harm. in our efforts to never lose ourselves, we may change in ways we don't want to accept.
if we keep cutting off more of ourselves, there won't be any left. you have to live. identify the demon and eventually you can come to terms with it.
the atmosphere is on point. the way kiva talks combined with the visually dreamy nature and the haunting piano expresses this creepy vibe that's also elegant in a way.
i do relate to her feelings on death. i can't quite put it into words, but something about the way it bothers her is relatable. her and her friends are filled with so much personality and also love for each other
the dreams are some of the best parts to me because of all the different ways i could interpret it. maybe the imagery isn't as clear cut to some people but i look at those scenes and my mind tries to pick it apart and figure out what it "means" etc etc. maybe poolpark did actually communicate in her mind. perhaps a side effect of the virus (or maybe not lol idk)
i'm starting to see the vision. i wonder what else we'll see in the series
i thought it was pretty cute and interesting
the way they stumble and fumble throughout each others lives, knowing where it stems from made for a nice character study
i'm still trying to fully grasp their dynamics and weight but the vibe was cool too. i feel like i went to a flash website to watch a high school drama which i'm all for
Finishing the game, I screenshot the different passages that show up during the titular Blunt Soul Trauma. The act of comprehending what was wrong with Alexis felt perverted. It put me in the shoes of Ferida and maybe even Haydee to some extent. But after attempting to machine translate some of them, I had realized it was more ambiguous than I realized.
The ritual involving souls unnerved me on a personal level. But with this little experiment, I'd wondered if my efforts to "forgive" or "understand" Alexis was the intentional effect. One would try to make sure they aren't blindly loving an actual criminal. But another would probably want to understand how they got to this point.
Aside from all of that, the world implied outside of the story is really interesting. There's a lot to infer about angels, from how their corpse decomposes to their halos. It played a massive factor in getting me invested in this angel's intentions (while they put Ferida in the human's intestines).
a fine wine expertly crafted, it perfectly captures the transgender feeling of living with this intense hatred in your heart. the intense body horror helps elevate all those awful emotions into something real and palpable, having prior been an abstract feeling unable to be grasped. underneath all the cherry flavor i can sense an aroma of tatsuki fujimoto, especially fire punch. i don't know how intentional that is but that story did change my life so i'm glad to have read the first chapter of something in the same ballpark
