The only fortunate way to avoid this is to have a hiding potion or let officer teleport you to his office so he losts interest on searching for you a short period of time (only works if he is not near the office area)

Well are you trying to turn it on on Endless Mode or something, because that disables it from turning on automatically (why would even bother having a lapping portal in a mode where you don’t need to reach exits) Edit: i already released a bugfix for it
