It seems like they simply forgot about the game because they still post art on their FurAffinity account every once in a while.
Even after saving the game, the upgrades I buy in the E-Gym disappear after leaving and re-entering. Everything else that I buy is saved though.
There's going to be a public free release sometime in July according to the pateron.
