this game has an amazing concept! the art style reminds me of baba is you, the level design is great but it could be better and i hope you do make this into a full game!
id recommend watching the GMTK video that talks about baba is you because i think the method that they use to design levels can probably help, it has helped me at least.
overall its amazing, although i wish the UI and font matched the art style as well, but still amazing! you honestly deserve more ratings than my game has gotten so its a shame people havent found this gem yet.
thank you for the feedback! i made the game out of desperation with no game idea at all, i cant think under pressure, so a lot of the prices and stuff are random, i didnt put any thought into them and i didnt test them for enjoyment, i actually beat the game for the first time ever just this morning, and to be honest it is quite boring, wish id worked on the UI or decorated rooms more, but i feel happy about having a finished game for the first time ever instead of unfinished prototypes.
this is my first five out of five in enjoyment! the idea is so simple but still makes for a fun challenge, the orbs and stuff also reminded me of geometry dash so extra points lol, but if this is your first game jam then im very impressed, amazing work!
thank you for your kind words, although i will point out that there are some bugs, and it isnt my very first project, its only my first finished one. but i didnt have a plan for the game before i started so i didnt take new mechanics into consideration when programming and ended up having to make more messy code to implement new stuff, but since its kind of a linear game i didnt care much, but it did limit what i could do a little.
The platforming mechanics are smooth and simple, the concept is smart, i wish it was a little longer and had more mechanics but its a game jam after all so its still very cool!
dont say that about yourself lol, the smooth brain thing is just part of the "lore" that i was trying to pull off, i didnt go in depth with story cuz i eventually stopped wanting to continue working on the game but now i regret that decision after seeing that people liked this simple concept.
i wish i added more instead of getting discouraged and submitting early, ill take this into consideration in my next jam though, there will be more fun games to come!
this is one of the best takes on the decremental type games that i've seen in this jam, the artwork and audio are also one of the best that i've seen yet!
