As far as I am concerned, scene switching doesn't have any performance issues and are both smooth and quick, this is likely due to hardware limitations on your end.
Unless you are talking about intentional design in regard to transitions, but this might mean this type of game is not necessarily for you, as a lot of its development revolves around creating a story, not just skipping to the sex part.
