Note that anything I write here is a rough idea that is meant to be reworked until it fits the vision of whatever creator wants to adopt and use it. Think of it as a story prompt.
Genre: Steampunk
Zephyr Boit is a disgraced airship captain in a smog-choked, skybound metropolis. He struggles with the ghosts of a failure from his past when he's thrust back into the whiskey-soaked cockpit of his former life and tasked with infiltrating the mysterious machine that controls the city's existence. Armed with a stolen airship and a crew of misfits, Zephyr must navigate the city's treacherous underbelly, outwit ruthless corporate enforcers, and confront the darkest secrets that lie at the heart of the city. Will he overcome his past in time to preserve the bustling metropolis's future?
Getting into Virtual Console Development
If you're looking for a virtual console development environment, here are the ones I know about. Use the Pico-8 for easy mode, go for the 6502 Atari assembler if you want to torture yourself. Your mileage may vary.

It's easy to start a game project. I've begun many myself over the years. Finishing one, however... well, that's considerably more difficult. For me, at least. That's what this project is all about: finishing what you start, twelve months in a row.
If you want to make 2022 a year of finished game projects, join up!
