This feels like a finished game. When I was staring at the game's page, I knew it looked familiar, it turns out, I had already watched an entire gameplay of the game prior to playing it myself.

While I didn't reach the end, I enjoyed the game loop, and I'm genuinely surprised on how much time of gameplay there is in the package. I also loved the inclusion of a tutorial in the first fight of the game, I know the genre can be confusing at first.

Thank you for playing, and for the feedback!
Just out of curiosity, which hitboxes did you have problems with? This has been mentioned a few times, so I might as well start taking notes of the details.

Thanks for playing and for your comments! There's currently no way to regain health, but there will be in the future!

Thank you for playing!
I'll take a look at your game :)

Thank you for playing! I'm glad you liked the mechanic, it seems to have had a mixed reception from what I can tell

Is this the end? I am at loss of words with how confused I am.  I like to think I'm good with English, but I didn't understand half of the text I was reading, which only speaks about my intellect, haha.
The art style felt more in tune with what I would expect from an Atari era game, but I understand the limitations caused by such a small resolution and the need to fit entire rooms into it.
Overall, this is not only the most unique game I've played in the jam, this is the weirdest thing I've played in the entire year, no doubt.
Good Job!

Edit: It looks like the image did not attach. I was asking specifically if the "Margin Saved" screen was the end of the game.

I love the design of the dinosaur guys.

The final location of the treasure was a surprise. I did read the signs but didn't pay much attention to them so I had to go back.

Would love to see the project come to life in the form of a playable demo!

I really like the interpretation of the theme. Would like to see the idea expanded.

I lost count of the number of times I collected all 6 teeth but wasn't able to climb the rope.
I had fun, even if, as others have mentioned, the movement feels a bit off with the character stuttery.

I love the color palette. The game controls well and has a simple, yet interesting visual style. I liked what I played although I didn't get to finish the last level.

Very simple simple but functional game. It feels like a finished product, which is not something we all can say when submitting to a jam. I liked the gameplay loop, and it definitely has the Gameboy Soul!

I enjoyed the game, and was able to finish most puzzles with no issue. The music is also good.

As others have said, the resolution and number of colors do not match the GameBoy's. Ignoring that, I think this is a very good game.

I liked the game although I experienced a lot of bugs and had to restart a few times because I was not able to get new memories.  I'm glad I restarted to be able to see the end!

I loved your take on 'old gold', it was fun to play. I felt it was a little unfair when the enemies could still attack you even when they were not on frame, I died a few times because of that, but not that big of an issue once I realized you could grab hearts from burning boxes/barrels.

I loved the art style and enjoyed the gameplay loop a lot!

Loved the screen shaking when the cat was carrying too much gold.

Loved the game!
I really like the core of the world shuffling due to the short memory span of the fish, lol

The music was also very enjoyable. Great work!

Cool short game. I like the skeleton dude.

Although it was easy overall, I appreciate the checkpoint before the boss room, I did die once, lol.

It feels good to play, and personally didn't experience any bugs.

I really love the effect of the sonar agains the level. Loved the art overall!

I really enjoyed it even if I'm not very good with the movement and kept crashing my sub.

I am sorry for the control issues, the possibility of different keyboard configurations didn't cross my mind when setting the keys up, but will add more options in a future update.

Yes, there's a speed variation in Cream's second phase once he's under 50% health.

Thank you for playing!

Thank you for playing!

Yes! Should I have worked on this game by my own, I'd probably stick to my comfort zone and use smaller sprites, but for this game, we decided as a team to go with a more detailed route from the very beginning, which was a good time and a challenge on its own.

Thank you for trying our game!

I'd appreciate if you gave our game a look

Thank you for the feedback! Happy to hear you had a good time!
Cookie and Cream are very powerful, especially when they're together!

Thank you so much for the feedback! I'll be fixing the way and rate items drop in a future update, especially in the Cream fight.

I got another commentary regarding the hitboxes, so I'll definitely be checking that as well.

I'm glad you enjoyed the game art and mechanics, Hope you can beat Cream, the maneki neko!

Good thing 'character fitness' is not a voting category, lol

In all seriousness, I'm glad you enjoyed the gameplay!

Thank you!

Thank you for playing, and for share the game in your Stream.

And Thanks for the feedback, of course. I will triple check the collision masks just in case I missed something. I'm glad you enjoyed the game nonetheless!

I totally agree both enemies and the playable character should have different sound effects, that's already in the list of things to fix.

Thank you for playing! I'm glad you enjoyed the difficulty.

I like the art style, and the animations are cute. I'm sorry you needed to mute the music.

Thank you so much for playing, and for the feedback!

I will definitely work on the item distribution, the 50/50 randomness sounded good to me in theory, but I get that a bad RNG can feel unfair.

Regarding the items in the fight against Cream, this is probably the least polished part of the game due to time constraints. I am thinking in a couple of ways I can fix the impossible-to-avoid situations, and of course I'll be trying to fix the existing bugs.

Thank you!

I'd appreciate if you took a look at my game too! Reliquia by Marlon Etcétera / mr_etcetera

Thank you!

I also feel leaving the coin cap in the final submission was a good idea, it was there from the very beginning, even before thinking Cookie could throw other objects.

Thank you so much! Hope you enjoyed it!

Thank you for playing! I'm glad you enjoyed the design!

I'd like to find a way to be more clear about what objects damage you without having to explicitly tell the player. Thanks for the feedback!

"It's not even a first edition", lol.

As someone who enjoys Picross, I really liked this game. Pixel art is top notch, and the puzzles, while easy, were very fun to play. I also enjoyed the dialogue.

Such a precious game. I knew where it was going, but I couldn't help tearing up at the end.

Absolutely loved the sprite work too!

I didn't quite understand how to play at the beginning, but, after a few tries, I got to surf as intended!

Loved the theme interpretation, and the sprite work!

I liked the music a lot, and even if I'm not that fan of literal 'tank' controls, I had a good time playing Bilac!
