Here's some actual tips for you, in no particular order.
1 - If you haven't, you can turn off the point deductions for failed reports in settings, making it far less punishing, and giving you a bit more freedom to explore.
2 - You can process copies of a signal, which means you can sell different levels of the same signal, reducing the amount of work you need to do collecting them.
3 - You can navigate using the "sv.target" command to make your compass point at a server, even from other servers.
You can also take a screenshot of the satellite map and navigate manually, which is what I do most of the time cause I think it's fun.
4 - Top priority upgrades (imo) would be computer level, server stability, download speed, sensor success rate, and sensor speed(which doesn't need many upgrades to go quite fast, I still have it at level 7 at the end of the game cause it's plenty speedy)
5 - A crowbar is quite a good early purchase, it's the only thing that will break those big crates, which have a lot of goodies in them, including food. Burgers are just as efficient as MREs if you're low on points.
6 - You can shut off power to various things in the base to make other things work faster. The buttons for this are in that corner with the microwave.
I hope at least a couple of these are helpful, good luck!
