what do you think is more likely, they uploaded an impossible level or we haven't figured it out

oh! i did briefly open this but largely ignored it because the tutorial told me to. thanks!

As it is, optimal gameplay is to figure out your party comp on the delve screen, then go back to your roster, unequip everything from everyone, equip the party you're taking with the best stuff, go back to the delve screen, re-enter your party. This is annoying & unfun! Alternatives:

- Equipping could be done from the delve screen, with your party being assembled out of your heroes and equipment. No need for a concept of heroes being assigned equipment outside of one particular context of use. Equipment doesn't "belong" to anyone outside of a given delve.

- Or, all equipment is soulbound upon equip. No juggling possible.

The game looks really promising but man you have got to make the visual language your own from top to bottom. Because as it is, at every moment I'm being prompted to think "No one made this. No one designed this. I'm in the most generic, midwit, machine-vomited experience. Does any of this mean anything? Is there any intentionality in what I'm looking at right now? Am I seeing the product of a mind? Is any of this on purpose and connected?" Ironically the superhuman pattern-inference machines aren't able to produce enough pattern for our own, wetter pattern-inference hardware.

nice update! fun game overall

screenshots look beautiful but nothing happens when i hit "begin"

I only have a Decoy in hand but need to ask for a card. I cannot ask for any card or end my turn. Locked.

(1 edit)

Another relic says that overheating won't damage me.
But it already doesn't?

(1 edit)

I took a relic that says rotation costs no fuel.

... Fuel?

1. This is awesome.

2. I'd love to be able to pan with WASD or something.

3. I've tried to play Drift Shot five times and it's done nothing each time. What am I missing.

What is supposed to happen when you lose? Mine froze

katamari if it were american

This is almost a fully functional symmetric fair game. The only barrier is that the player always bets first.

brother you are talking like AI now. you're too deep

Every part of this is AI. No part of this is another human being showing me their work and thoughts and vision. What am I supposed to care about here? What part of this is art?

How do you use the warrior skill? I can only seem to activate it by clicking on it, at which point the warrior dashes always to the bottom center of the screen (where the skill button is), not at any enemy

This is awesome, can't wait til there's more content

Brother I have been wandering around this maze forever, with or without spirits following me.  I've got five spirits and can't find any new doors. Is this escaping samsara? doesn't feel like it

Good game. I have to say that I used the mouse controls for many runs because the game suggested that was the intended way to play; but once I tried the keyboard controls, it was immediately obvious that that was much better. Wish I had been doing that the whole time.

firefox, mac

froze as i finished level 10

the winning strategy of playing a higher card? any naive strategy should win this

i think the idea of the stickers obscuring things is part of the concept of this game

the opponent will not run out of cards

man i tried that a whole bunch earlier

been trying to get here for a while now

why what's gonna happen

Won in 2045! Wish I could survey the gamestate after winning using all the prior lenses, instead of just the victory screen

Still on my first playthrough. I've made some suboptimal investments but I think I'm largely correct. Just turned the corner I think in 2036-2040, feels like I have enough time to clean up.

One of the greatest games of all time imo

I don't think "balance" is one of the design goals of this game, except in the sense of making sure to sufficiently simulate expected upsides and downsides. So I don't think "increase costs to offset power of strategy" quite makes sense. On the other hand, the political capital generation and costs system is seemingly the most gamified and least "simulated" system, and thus the most obvious candidate for ideologically designing the right answer to this puzzle game, which is sort of what you're hinting at.

just launched this game & trying to get a handle on it. really excited.

my first feedback is that a clarification between changing something by x% and by x percentage points is crucially needed. I see "change the amount of land under protection by +30%", and when I click it, it says "the amount of land under protection will change from 10% to 40%". this is an enormous discrepancy, and not knowing whether you can trust the numbers makes the comprehension curve a lot worse.

thanks!

The screenshots make it look like free movement, but I'm not certain.

love it!

could use some more testing for a mac with multiple monitors.

> In the 31st century, Earth's civilization is fully self-sustaining —powered by Lazium, a rare energy source extracted from distant planets.

That is actually the opposite of what self-sustaining means

I played again and this time the egg got stuck here without my doing anything in particular to cause it. The scene is not scrolling.

Can every house be saved in every level?

I got the egg up to the third right flipper as the screen was scrolling up. Since I couldn't particularly get anywhere until it had scrolled up more, I kept the flipper depressed to hold the egg and wait. Upon release, the egg was stuck on the edge.

at the beginning of the fourth room, the reroll - done UI failed to come up, locking the game. I started over and this time it happened in the third room.

i recognize the dungeonscrawl hatching
