I'm so torn between the happy excitement that we're approaching the finale and the crushing devastation that we're approaching the finale

Congrats on hitting the order count already!!

If I'm not mistaken, it's not a bug the story just ends there right now.

They posted an update to their Tumblr page on June 27th, though they haven't posted the mentioned plan yet.

(Their tumblr is also linked at the bottom of the game description if anyone is curious but doesn't trust links from strangers. Which; fair)

I've been checking this page for the past week as if that would make the 9th come any faster. I don't think I've managed to follow a story for so long (a failing of my own loll), but you keep me hooked through every update!

I did run into a couple instances of errors, two with the variables for LA's gender and one with the relationship status with LL; hopefully they're down far enough to be under a read more to prevent spoilers. I tried posting screenshots but Itchio kept erroring out :(

(After going to the Grotto and trying to heal LL with A)

"I know," Ada replies. "That's why I want to take advantage of him being unconscious. I just need you to keep Lavina distracted so I can work without her noticing."

You frown. "We're not going to tell him anything? She's his sister!"

You frown. "We're not going to tell her anything? He's her brother!"

"Her little brother, who just lost an arm protecting her. She must already feel horrible, how do you think she'll feel when she finds out what Luca's been taking?" she replies harshly, and shakes her head.

.

(Returning to the Grotto with RG at the end of the chapter (last option))

Only when she feels the weight of the pendant hanging from her collarbone does she open her eyes. The sobs pause for a moment, and Lavina lifts her gaze to you, surprised.

You kneel in front of her and place your hands on her shoulders.

  • There’s no shame in trembling
  • If you’re despicable, then we’re screwed
  • I don’t care what you did, only what you do now
  • I’ve wanted to give up too, but there’s still something worth fighting for
  • You’re not a bad brother. You’re human

.

(Going to LL just before the end of the chapter)

Something twists inside you, the ache and fear that comes with knowing how close you were to losing him. Your throat tightens for a moment, but you don’t let yourself falter. You’re not sure if it’s because of love, rage, or sorrow.

Hello! On longer passages (starting with Turn 4) the scrollbar doesn't appear and manual scroll with my mouse or trackpad doesn't work either. I managed to brute force it by copy+pasting the passage into notepad to read it, then hitting tab to force my screen down into the choices, but that's unfortunately not a very convenient long-term solution

The link has a typo, it tries to take you to "goldendusl-if" instead of "goldendusk-if." Here's the link I got off their Pinterest, and here's the non-linked url for anyone who doesn't open hyperlinks from strangers (good practice):   goldendusk-if.tumblr.com/

I actually enjoy how some stories don't let you savescum. It's a habit I get into a lot, and I find myself shaping my character based off the reactions the other characters have to the choices, rather than what I think my character would do. There's a certain stakes-raising aspect to no saves that I think does some stories some huge favors when it comes to making readers commit to the choices they make.

Of course, there's downsides as well where you can't have multiple runs of different MCs at the same time, so you can't explore different romances or major decisions concurrently. It would be nice if there was a kind of "profile save" available to authors where progress could be saved per-character without letting readers back out of decisions. Regardless, I'm really enjoying the story so far, and once I got past the inevitable dread of realizing there weren't manual saves, I feel like it lent itself well to the narrative.

Thank you so much!! I read Act 1 during the free period so unfortunately I didn't have an exported save to bypass the error. Just my luck to be on the one route to suffer the unyielding wrath of a single-character typo in a line of code loll. No more gazing longingly at Act 2 through the window for me <3

Hello! I submitted this as a bug report when chapter one was first published (I'm very sorry if I'm just being impatient)  but I noticed the card on the trello didn't have a priority color so I got worried I may have messed up my report somewhere.

When selecting Leire/Luca as my love interest and saying I know I love them, the game hard stops. There seems to be an extra | symbol in the choice link, so it's trying to take me to a passage (that doesn't exist) named "|NC23" rather than "NC23" and preventing me from proceeding

Sorry again if I'm just being impatient! I loved Act 1 and am very excited for Act 2.
