hi dev i fucking love this game. i am so obsessed with how princess is kept in a storeroom with the old kingdoms iconography and paraphernalia, as the knight still wears the old kingdoms colors. the way he keeps everything left behind when he was the one who ruined it all 馃グ馃グ馃グ馃グ

i do have a question however. where does she poop? is she let out to go to a bathroom? does she have a chamberpot? does the knight empty it, or does she empty it out the window? but finally, a part of their interactions we're never shown. the knight getting rid of her poop. also a shower?? hello?? how does she bathe??

in her steps is so sweet and hopeful, yet weirdly my favorite ending is peaceful days. i ended up playing princess from a place of deep loneliness and taking any mental escape, avoiding all conversations about her situation and being kind to the knight, as a way to escape, and it ended up hitting me really hard, especially retrospectively when i read the ending description, and as i went on to play other paths where she actually leaves. perhaps a disgraced knight and  the princess he was supposed to kill and has faked the death of could find happiness, in this small interactions. perhaps she will eat regularly. perhaps his plan will work, and shell smile tomorrow.

also, the way her father strived so far to do right by everyone, and eliminate as much suffering as possible, yet asked for the princess to be killed so she wouldnt have to experience losing hope. what a shitty father. so glad the knight disagreed. it does make me wonder where the kings idealism comes from, and his own relationship with failure. he obviously hated failure, finding new solutions to problems brought before him so he wouldnt flounder. perhaps his avoidance of the princess is caused by this avoidance of his failures. bc parents cannot help but fail their child..

but, i really enjoyed this. thank you for making it
