Few things that are unclear to me about eliminating: Is the card that we use for eliminating also eliminated? And if so, are we free to choose which one gets eliminated first? Or is it added to the hand? Where in the hand would it go? If I eliminate a card of the same rank, does it count as a picked pocket?
I also made a hack to add more cards and make it longer and more chaotic :) 10s that give 3 points and can eliminate any card other than face cards. They also behave as 3s and 5s. Jokers. They cannot be reserved. Jokers steal any 5s, and 10s currently in hand. If they steal two cards, they gain a point. As long as there are two Jokers in hand, they are the ones picking pockets. If two Jokers are next to each other, they steal a point from you and shuffle the deck (they go into the deck). They can be eliminated by As, 5s, 10s, and faces. If a face eliminates them, they have a point deducted. If a Joker ends up next to a Face, both cards go back into the deck. You steal one point from the Jokers. Jokers return to the deck randomly, somewhere in the middle. With 11 points, they win the game.
I am thinking about doing this with a full Tarock deck. Those actually have half the suits cards. Red cards only have 1, 2, 3, 4, black cards only 5, 6, 7, and 8. Just have to cut down on the landlords, since that would be 16 cards.
