Here are my notes:
- I like the sound effects
- I love that coming back to my apartment and then into the hall forced an event that progressed me through the story. It made me more immersed.
- Using the map as the scene really made me use my imagination which actually immersed me more. I really like that I had to go back and forth between the rooms, not just forwards, as it solidified the place in my mind.
- The footstep animation going from one place to another is nice
- The keyhole in the wall was very creepy
- It was not obvious that the time setting was the Victorian era - I only got that from the “More information” section - certain story elements make much more sense now!
I ended up being eaten by Aiden :P Overall, I love the game. I got really invested, great story telling! So far the highest rating I gave. Great job.
I really liked it! Here are some of my notes:
- After mama disappears, I saw in the background photo a Stagg stove - I also have one :)
- The music really set the atmosphere
- I actually got hungry making the hamburgers, I think that means the visuals looked tasty!
- I couldn't finish the boss fight even after 10+ tries hah I think that the acceleration / de-acceleration of the character really adds to the difficulty.
Thank you for playing! It means a lot :)
The audio was recorded by me, it was very fun to go out into the fields and just stand there with my recorder and listen. Good idea with the narrative - I was initially thinking of birds stopping by the window with notes attached to their legs that you could decipher to read conversations between people. Like they couldn't find their destination so they all end up near this prison. I didn't have time left to do it though xd
I never heard of Presentable Liberty, looks interesting though , will check it out :)
