This seems like a very fun game! I sadly had to try it out alone since I don't have anyone around to play with right now.

It is very solid for a first project and it reminds me a lot of the old-school local coop/pvp games me and my friends used to play on the school computers hahaha.

I think you have a bright future ahead in game development, in time, when you feel ready to get more into the coding aspect I wholeheartedly recommend making games on Pico-8 and on Godot too!

Hi, thanks for playing! some sound effects would probably make the game quite a lot better yes

Hi there, thanks for the tips! I should probably add some other click button yes, plus the font size is a bit small in the shop hahaha

Very fun game! I managed to get 7000 kills before my fingers got tired and the enemies became too many lol.

I have some ideas that I think could make it much better:

1: Enemy variety. As I played I felt the need to have some other type of enemy that actually made moving worth it, like an enemy that shoots from a distance and can kill your character. Right now there is no real incentive to move from the center of the screen as you can't take damage and the center gives you the best coverage for all directions enemies may come from.

2: Auto-fire. When you really think about it you realize there isn't a single moment where you wouldn't want to be shooting, having to click to fire actually makes it so someone that clicks slow can't take advantage of their fire-rate upgrades and someone who clicks fast will just get tired of clicking.

I made it to wave 10, so mad that I lost hahaha. It's a really fun game!

Glad you liked! Our composer maku put lots of effort into the music so I'm glad you enjoyed it

Hey, glad you liked! It would have been great to add some better tell for when you are in past/present yeah, right now I'll admit even I get them mixed up sometimes lol

The connection to the theme felt solid, the gameplay was very enjoyable and the graphics were really nice!

Thank you, glad you liked it!

Tried your game and it was quite fun and felt very polished, it'd be great if you could try mine on one of your future streams!

Played your game and it was really fun! It's quite hard though so I only managed to get to wave 2 lol. Would love for you to try and rate mine :)

Thanks for playing! We would have loved to make the game longer and with more puzzles, plus implement a better font. Sadly we ran out of both time and room on the spritesheet for new art lol

Thank you!

Thanks so much for your kind words! Always nice to see a fellow Pico-8 dev

Thank you very much!

Thanks! I really liked your game too :)

Thank you very much for the tip! Well spotted, I'll fix that right now.

Edit: I couldn't get into fixing how the chair handles collisions right now since the jam ends in only a couple hours so I just made it so you always grab the chair from the left. That should hopefully eliminate the root cause of the bug

Oh hey, Im working with Pico-8 too!

It's going well I believe! I'm working with my two childhood friends, Im doing the programming and they are handling the art and such. Core gameplay is almost fully done, now just have to decorate the map and decide where each important item goes!
