My first big ranked gamejam, and it shows me how much I still have to learn lol. I feel  I learned a lot about how time crunch hits you like a truck and leaves you with a game far from your original  vision. Not too proud of my ranking, but determined to improve it in the next iterations of Brackey's gamejam!Image

Thanks for your kind words and thank you for playing ^_^

Thanks a lot for playing :D

Thank you :D
Really glad you enjoyed it ^_^

Thank you! Definitely had grand plans for this, but life had other plans for me during the jam week >_<

Thanks a lot for playing!

Good game, liked the art style and music a lot. (I liked the music A LOT)

The game was a bit confusing at first, but really fun once I got the hang of it! I don't think i have much criticism to give for thsi, since it was pretty well scoped - tho as another commenter has said, a few hints would be great!

The game seems nice, but right now its way too confusing for me. I can't understand how to progress at all and a tutorial would be really helpful. The concept, art and music are really great, but i just dont understand what I'm supposed to do lol.

Pretty fun game !!(though the theme just felt like it was added on as an after thought)

The visuals and all were pretty nice, and the game was fun and enjoyable, though i personally felt the last room was a little too difficult (but could definitely be a skill issue on my part XD)

Thanks a lot! I remember wanting to try out your game, but I got busy and forgot. I'll definitely try it out later today!

Thanks for playing and glad you enjoyed it :D

Love the minesweeper comparison XD

Interesting game. Would work great if we could have a tutorial that explained the mechanics a little better. I could clearly see some inspiration from Buckshot roulette, and the sound etc was used effectively toreallyu build up the tension. The visuals were great aswell

Interesting game. Loved the atmosphere, but felt the gameplay was a little slower than i'd have liked. Solid game though. Next time I'll do my homework!

Yes sir, I'll check out your game right away! And hope you do the same :D

Haha! Thanks for playing. I'm glad you found it funny.

If only it were that easy in real life indeed

Glad you enjoyed it :D

Thank you!

I plan on adding some balance changes as soon as the gamejam ends (already coded it out, but can't update the game till the jam ends)

Oh? I made it a browser game because most people dont prefer downloadables lol. When I update it, I'll make sure to release downloadable versions as well ^_^

For sure (a little busy, but i'll try to comment before end of day today  :D)

Well written game. However, a lot of this felt unpolished. I got the right answer in the 9th attempt and instead of letting me win, it played another cutscene and dint let me submit any answer after that.

Great first try though and I hope to see more from you in the future!

Cute game! It sort of gives me nostalgia to some old web games i played as a kid.

Thank you!

Pretty good game!

Loved the art immensely. The polish on this is insane. My personal view is that typing and shooting didn't really go well together, because typing forces the speed of the game to go down. Loved the minimap and the different types of enemies a lot! And it just felt really well made!

What's the 20 ratings quota btw?

also, here's my game. I'll rate and comment on your :D

Took me 3 runs to finish this lmao. Pretty fun game and solid concept. Genuinely impressive for something a person made in 2 days! Hope to see you build on this in the future :D

Bottom of the room. I can stand on the door.

Recommend switching off smell in our device while playing this game

Ty. The music was something I left for the last minute and my sleep deprived brain gave the green light for this horrendous audio without much thought. I do intend on adding a bunch of bug fixes, audio fixes and some items you can start with to ease you into the game as soon as the jam ends.

Thanks a lot for playing, and im really glad you enjoyed it :D

Cute game! It took me a while to understand what I was supposed to do, but it was really fun once i got the hang of it.

Great work, loved the art style and simple gameplay though the timer was really stressful lol.

 Also note:

There were some small layering issues in the bottom of the map which you might want to check out once.

I guess I echo everyone when I say, what a fantastic art style. The sfx is pretty good, but I didnt hear any background music.

I'd like it if you could skip dialogue, and a back option when you press barter or ask a question, but i guess those are polish details you will add after the jam. Had a fun time playing your game Pawn Scum (which is not a chess game where your pawns betray you, like I thought it would be from the name lol)

Haha, glad you enjoyed the game :D

Thank you so much for playing and giving your feedback :D
Your comment really made me glad. I wanted to add some starting items, but in the crunch to submit my game for the jam... well i simply forgot :/

What a lovely game. I loved the concept and gameplay. Just simple and calming. Really loved the art and music <3

Really nice idea, and fun to play. I'd recommend having a smaller amount of people as the rounds were slightly too long for my taste, but loved the passenger models and the IDs with just their heights were hilarious.

I could definitely see that you had a lot more planned for this game, but i genuinely believe you executed it pretty well, especially for a solo dev!

Really Enjoyed this game and felt it really fit the theme well. Love the amount of polish in this game!

Wow! Such a well done game. Honestly, this is all my game tried to be and its just executed so much better. Really loved and enjoyed this game <3

Thanks a lot. Initially, winning the rounds can be impossible (I intended on having items available from round 1, and having players budget money to keep items to solve cases, but time crunch is real.

Marking as true and false does have a temporary effect, which again, in a hurry, i didnt make permanent.

Really appreciate your feedback though, and I'm super grateful you took your time to play this :D

What a wonderfully stressful game. Definitely among the top tier of games I've played in this jam. Really loved this game!
