yeah, he's making a different game, i noticed while playing the game that it would actually be hard developing it considering that there is a lot of branching to the story as a gamedev myself i know how hard to make animations and write story telling. The dev mentioned it on his patreon aswell how it affected him. the branching story system is just way too complicated, it's like making a multiverse when you haven't even finished making one.
i hope he still finish the game even without the branching and just the original plot for the girls.
Edit: I just finished the update and realize that it's actually a reboot I like it but at the same time I fell inlove with the old design of Suzy and Lucy, I think their personality is still almost the same but more calm-ish? Suzy did not change much but I almost did not recognize Lucy, i loved her tsundere type of character before, i really loved the 1.3version, but nevertheless I look forward to this new version
napakagaling 10/10 naalala ko yung miside sa artstyle and well optimized ang game, effective yung jumpscare kaso sa sobrang dame instead of unexpected, i expected it on every corner which but i've played a lot of horror games so i think for people who doesn't play horror games matatakot talaga sila. otherwise it's a really good game i cannot wait for the whole game i'm definitely gon buy it!
