I recently have solved the "ValueException" Error I have received. What I did may not work for you but I'll try and help. The reason I had the error was because my computer had a software by the name of, "Winzip" Which I'm guessing is a unziping application for well, files that need upzipping. Anyway, I decided to delete that application to see if that fixed the problem and it did. After so I went on and completed the steps to download Friday Night Funkin'. And I opened it and it was working great. So if you have any software that has something to do with .Zip files, delete it. When you do open the zip file it should automatically take you to your PC downloads, not anything else. I hoped this help you.
