For anyone struggling with Phase 2 and the parry mechanic, try utalising the dash to dodge under low projectiles and keep watch of the cooldowns- if you miss a parry its easy to spiral so focus on avoiding damage by using the plate platforms!
Loving the neon vaperwave aethetic, and the choppy movement was very satisfying - felt like old coolmath games like run. However, sometimes I felt a little lost in the map, especially for the 6th state, some direction signs might've been useful. Similarly, the white font could be diffucult to read at times, maybe adding a drop shadow or background to them could've helped a lot? Also after dying it would be easy to fall off the respawn playform suddenly and lose a second life, some barriers or a respawn stutter could help a lot. Anyways, I hope this doesn't come off as too critical because overall your game was amazing and I really enjoyed playing it!
Whilst the movemennt felt a little clunky and the attack mechanics were a little confusing at first I still enjoyed the final boss fight and the little twist related to it! The sprites, while simple, were very cute too - i liked the cat!
The art was nice, I liked the brain and neuron theme, but I couldn't understand how to get the game to work and would get blank screens... I'd be happy to try again if I could get some pointers on how to play since I didn't really understand ^^;
