What an intriguing start! I love how you guys portrayed the intense, cold atmosphere of it all from the sound design to the art! (I especially love how the backgrounds were stylized, like a collage of sorts!)

I can't wait to see how the mystery of the Vale House unfolds <3

Harold Kim....the man that you are lmao. His damn condoms (or lack thereof) kill me every single time, omg. I am cheering for him and Emma through and through the chaos. I hope they keep failing upward in life.

I did run into a weird saving glitch, where loading a save opens up a rollback error. And when I hit ignore, it goes all away back to Chapter 1. Luckily, not all my save slots were affected like that; but, by Chapter 3, most were.

(Btw, how/where do you get second-to-last CG?)

oh my gosh, yeah don't get me started on the appearance wars. i personally liked the natural look for my characters (tho the color pink takes over quite a lot lol) but never enjoyed when people make it out as ultimatiums, like boooo

soooo i have a bit of addiction in enjoying "trash" media lmao to the point where i do hate watch things, just for me build out cases. it's a problem ik lol. that line from vag tho.....kills me every single time.

lowkey relates to how im an avid dub watcher, lol. but! i do think english-dubbed media has found its place and Gachiakuta is like rly, rly solid. even the director/writer for the dub is a black man so lots of respect have been given and has allowed for plenty of black talent to shine even outside of the black characters. so! if you ever give it a shot, highly recommend!

and Ichi the Witch too! can't believe i almost forgot abt that. im a bit behind, but des is best girl. her design and persona def caught me off guard in the best way possible. its cool to see that the role they've given her could've led to stereotypes but how they fleshed her out was so well done, like it's rly a fun read!

but man, you're right! we are getting a revolution of sorts for reps aaa but yee we deserve more and more and more

as someone who got brainwashed into the whole tumblrification "good rep" scheme when i was young, damn it still affects me every time i write a character. and i love making unlikable characters, but always in back of my mind, i feel as if im offending my own race by making them lowkey, highkey suck and be annoying and have actual flaws lol. (as i write, this reminds me of the circular discourse surrounding proud family, hmm) so i feel for this zine, felt justified in a way.

wasn't into steven universe, but am currently into hazbin as a fan in shades. (i like being mildly entertained by how bad it is lol) so i def felt the initial disconnect with velvette. it actually took me to the last episode of s2, for me to recognize that she's black, whoops.

also love the shoutout to canary, my fave girl. (still im dead that you called krone her copycat...like you aren't wrong, but.......) currently, my favorite black rep from nonblack work is Gachikacta--the black cast is shining through and through

but yeah, representation is and will always be messy but i will always love it when people give it a shot (and occasionally miss so badly you can't help but be entertain) thank you so much for this zine! as always, you give me plenty of think abt and love the conversation it stirred up

love the portrayal of psyche here and the theme of free will going on; this myth was always interesting on that front as many things was forced upon her but she either always own it as it was hers (or rightfully complained about it as girl goes through so much bs lol)

i love how whimsical the writing was and the dark humor that peeks through esp when we do the "wrong" thing. glad to see psyche controls her ending, but who knows just how much control she has really

absolutely love the look and feel of this game, and that ending...how comical, indeed lol

Mmm, yeah Kendrick has fully redeemed himself here.

Kendrick was def testing me with that "Janella Cruella". Janella is way stronger than me, that's all I'd say lmao. Still, I always love soft enemies-to-lovers, and Kendrick did prove his worth in the true end lol. (Can't wait to read the bonus content!)

Thank you so much for the kind words, omg. You know, my initial pitch when describing Hope was "what if Kyuubey gave a shit while being still a piece of shit" lol, so I'm happy to see that duality still stayed in the final game in some form haha. 

Actually, while I did briefly mention other magical girls (most notably Pru and her girl), this game was always only going to focus on Hope and Rose. My sprite artist just had a field day designing potential concepts for the others that I just had to include somewhere lol. 

Down the line, I would like to explore other magical girls and their familiars - so these concepts will definitely come to play in the hopefully near future! Thank you so much for playing! I'm so glad you liked it <33

Huh. This is went into a direction I wasn't expecting at all; it gave me absolute chills with the whiplash, my gosh. But it in the best way possible bc I love how you explore the ethical exploitation in the medical field through something as common as pain management for menstruation. 

But, I rly love how layered it is! With how the MC is a black woman, whose hands is obscured with her pad textbox (excellent touch!) which solidifies the fact that Dolores is only seen as an instrument to the "greater good" and we can only hope that she does find success in that -- in spite of history usually saying otherwise.

Aw, this was so cute! I love a good bodyswap story -- and this was no exception! This game actually reminded me a lot of the webtoon Rewriting Our Love Story (without time travel and the agonizing miscommunication lmao) 

I def appreciated how Trip and Nabi developed as both individuals and as partners. (Bev also deserved her accolades too lol!) Overall great game <33

This game was painful to get through, so for that I must applaud you. It is unsettling as it is poignant in capturing the horror that is family, my gosh. The dead-eyed stares, the lack of music, the tantalizing dialogue throughout, and those endings -- wow.  Poor Jake.

Ahh, slow burn during zombie apocalypse -- I loved it! I adored the style here (the orange and black palette, <3) and the writing was chef kiss <33 Gonna go stalk your socials to get more of these boys lmao

absolutely love the amount of work put into this, like the visuals and gameplay mechanics -- amazing!! Lock was such a mood throughout lol. Loved the budding relationship he had with Torch! and backstories and lore we got to explore through the gameplay were nice touches to flesh them out.

(Though, I am a bit confused about what happened with Magnet; I may have missed something that brought that change, hmmm) 

But, amazing work overall!
