Itch has been experiencing issues these past few days, so it might have been related to this ! I tested the game and it works right now, I hope it works for you :) 
(it doesn't work on telephone though)

You need a C64 emulator. My favorite local one is Vice: https://vice-emu.sourceforge.io/

My favorite online one is: https://virtualconsoles.com/online-emulators/c64/ 

If you wanna play on your own Commodore 64, you need to transfer the .d64 file on a disk and play it on your C64 :)

If you want to play on desktop, you will need a C64 emulator like Vice or CCS64 which are both windows compatible ! Then you download the .d64 file I put on the page and drag and drop it there ! Was that your question ?  

Oh but demo scene artists are out of this world, bringing incredible stuff to the C64 🌈

Well no gender is defined anywhere so the game can be as gay as you want ! Also, maybe your person sleeps dressed as a clown ?? That’s what’s great with text adventures.  For the animation, my dear 1986 software could not handle it !
