Had a blast with the game. I had seen lets plays of gutter nights and once I heard the banjo kazooi talking sounds knew it was your game again. I like the small town dark secret vibe you had going on with this one. Will more games take place in the same town? Can't wait to see what you'll make next keep up the good work!
Its my first time playing one of your games but I definitely felt that early horror movie vibes from the 80's and 90's I watched as a kid. It started slow but led to the scary so well thru that game. The story was cliche but dang was it executed so well and the sound work only played so well with the mood and atmosphere. I'm looking forward to trying your other games too!
I love the 80's horror flick feel the game gave off. Loved the hard rock and the atmosphere you built up as it was stalking us thru. If Id change anything it be making the flash light a bit stronger as the difference with and without was very minimal and it was hard to see in the last part of the game. Still I had a blast and hope to see more in the future. Keep up the good work!
I had a blast with the game and seeing all the kids costumes were awesome. Some voices would had gone a far way with the build up and suspense but I know that's tough with small games like these. If I could had added anything it would had been how the end of the game happened like how they got inside, maybe mess with a few things like moved where the trash bags should had been, stuff like that that could had made us question things a bit. Keep up the great work though cant wait to see what else you can cook in the future!
I had a blast playing your game. Though it felt like it was a bit too short and could had used some more build up to the big reveal. Maybe like us having to hike up to the tower a bit before starting the repairs and getting some clues as to whats going on within the woods. Ending was hilarious though and the cold breath effects was a nice touch. Keep up the great work!
You know I had expectations on how the game would had gone... The twist though was enjoyably appreciated. I would call the game a good weird, maybe even a fever dream but not so much a horror game. If there was any issues though I'd have to put it on balancing the audio a bit better. Most of the game was quiet except for the three loud parts and boy where they. Still keep up the good work and like to see more in the future!
I saw your redit post last week on your game and I was super interested in trying it out. Man its good just for the demo. You set the tone well, the pov of the child is great, the lack of music isn't an issue as the ambience carries the weight so well. Im really excited for the full game and love to see where you take it from here. If I was to add anything it might be more detail in the bathroom like you gave the bed room. A tub, a few toys, even some bath mats can go a long way. Still keep up the good work!
I enjoyed it more so as the experimental storytelling it is, but hard to really say that it is a horror. Besides that though it was told really well and the open ending is great for interpretation. Certainly different from your other games but this did story much better. Keep experimenting like this and your horror games can get just as good lore wise. Keep it up man looking forward to your next ones!
I was suggested the game from a viewer of mine and they didn't disappoint. The dark tone and atmosphere is set early. My hate for the dad is just made more and more justified as the demo went on. I'm really interested in how the story will go from here and has a wish list for me. Can't wait to see it later this year!
As a dad and an uncle myself I appreciate the way Noah is portrayed as a single child. It hits just the right notes. I did have issues with the audio levels as I was playing though. Some sounds were really quite and other were deafening loud like the coffee and shower. Also it would had been really cool if we had a chance to go inside twelve and see the inside and handy work of the smiling man. To help give that character more weight to the story. Over all though its a really good start to amazing game and story.
The game had some good moments and I didn't realise I did videos on two of your games. Love the fact you add cut scenes into the games for the story telling. I'd had like if there was some more build up with what was coming from the water maybe few more people to speak to on the accident or stranger things to find around the stage. I'm really looking forward to what you can make in the future. I feel your foundations are good just need to add more details in the build up. Keep up the good work!
The game was great I got the full game on steam and the slow build up was really well paced. Really did capture the essence of working customer service and the wide range of people you'll meet. While I know nothing about boba, dealing with irrate, demanding customers I do get. Cant wait to see what other things you'll make in the future!
I really enjoyed it as it built supense as we went thru the woods. The lack of music and just hearing the wind and creaks were a nice touch. I'd try something diffrent though to get less invisible walls since the trees were so spread I thought I could freeroam more than I actually could, but all in all a nice suspensful game.
