Despite being listed as free, this is not a free program. The software works well and has a good feature model but it is only a 7 day free trial. I later found both Twinkle Tray and Display Dimmer on the Microsoft store as alternatives that work just as well to change brightness and neither are gated behind a hefty paywall. However, if you care for adjusting color tone, CareUeyes and f.lux were the only software I tested that did this where f.lux lacked the ability to change brightness and offered a lot less features. Overall CareUeyes is a well developed tool but it comes at a cost that’s hard to justify when there are free alternatives that offer many of the same features minus color tone adjustment. If color tone adjustment is a feature you need then this is likely the best tool out there for that.
