So with only one eligable entry, I declare Atomic mutant powered girls the defacto winner lol. A few of the entries were computer games so while the concept was cool I unfortunatly had to disqualify them since the goal of this jam was to make tabletop rpgs.

I peaked at the rules and I loved the inspirations you were drawing from. Some powerpuff girls elemants and a few other things to make it unique and its own thing. I'd love to try playing it myself with friends someday If I get a chance.

For the future if I hold another game jam again, some people asked for me to include free rulesets to work with, so I'll definately do that again. Perhaps a longer worktime to play with as well. I figured 2 months might be enough but maybe some people needed more time due to things like work and personal life and so on.

If anyone has tips or suggestions I can use to improve game jams for the future please let me know and I hope people had fun regardless of the outcome, and maybe you will be inspired to work on games in your own spare time.

Maybe for my next jam I shall include some free to use rulesets to make it easier for people. Not much i can do about it now since its only a few days left. But I'll keep iti n mind for the next jam. This is also my first time hosting a jam so its really been a ;earning experience for me.

Hey there, thanks for replying to my thread. Looking forward to what you'll eventually come up with, we have little over half a month left on the game jam so i'm curious to see how many people will finish a project. I had someone submit a computer game but i unfortunatly had to decline that one since this game jam is all about making tabletop games.

With a month and a bit left for the game jam I thought I'd make a thread for you all to pitch the project you all are working on and updates if you want to keep everyone in the loop of what your working on as well.

Remember its mostly going to be for fun but I hope you lal enjoy working on the jam and I'm looking forward to what possible games might come out from this.

Haha yeah maybe behind the scenes the toy comanies want certain beyblades to be promoted more or get upgrades in the show. Looking forward to it.

Oh man the idea of a beyblade trpg does sound pretty epic. Not sure it would fit in entirely with the rules I set up for the tv show side of things palying a part of it, but I like the idea so much I kind of want you to go ahead and make it a reality lol. I remember growing up and watching the first series.

thought I'd make a thread in case people want to share ideas on what they are working on for the jam gamewise.

Since some people may not have grown up in the 80s or 90s when a lot of these toy shows were very popular.

That was inpired partly by other games in a similar syle such as cartoon action hour by spectrum gamed and s japsnese game called sparkle stars. For instance you could have commercial break rules where various effects take place between scenes. The studio or producers could mske demands on how the show is handles. Maybe they wsnt a character to take the spotlight because of s new toy, or tone down the violance due to complaints. Silly comical stuff like that. Just a few suggestions.

Well if we look at things like Marvel they had several toylines based on there superhero characters. Power rangers and Dragonball still sell a lot of toys to children to this day. But if you want to really get that toyetic feeling. I'd suggest looking into things like Tmnt, Thundercats or some of the old Foxkids marvel shows. I know the spiderman one had a lot of wacky toys that were both featured in the show and some stuff that was toy exclusive. Basically you can make a trpg the traditional way, but you also have to think like a tv show/toy producer for some parts of the rules.

So I grew up in the early 90's, I missed out on stuff like He-man and such back in the day. But thanks to the internet we can enjoy many of those older classic shows like the turtles, transformers and so on. I was mostly a power rangers guy and collected most of the toys when it first came out.

What are some of your favorite toyetic shows and what toys did you guys or gals like to collect when you all were younger?
