Thanks for playing!

I scaled them using code since I made them too small initially and I was running out of time 😅 Nice catch on that!

Thank you very much for playing!

Thank you so much!

thanks so much for the detailed feedback!

This is my first boss fight so I will definitely implement this feedback when I make the full game <3

I tried to pair some of them with animation (might need to make the animation  longer and more colorful so it sticks out) and a corresponding sound effect, not sure if it was loud enough or not

I also added a feature where if you fail the boss fight more than once, you can skip it or ask for a hint and the hint tells you when it is vulnerable.

I'll try your game too!!

thank you so much!!

I will definitely play it tonight and put feedback on your page <3

Thank you so much!!

Loved playing this one! I really enjoyed how it evolved a little each level. Well done!

I really enjoyed the level design and art. Had to get used to the constantly moving in one direction but it felt more natural after about a minute of playing. Very simple and fun!

Loved the music and winter scenery! Took me a bit to get used to the turning but I think I figured it out enough to stay alive for almost a minute  ^_^

Felt like the most relaxing therapeutic online fishing experience ever.

Top notch scenery art, music and sfx were amazing too.  Like I could fall asleep to this music <3

Well done! Love it!!!

Ty so much for playing!! ❤️

I made some updates and now if you die twice, you can choose to accept defeat and keep the story moving forward or get hints on how to defeat the boss. Can you download the latest version and give it another go and let me know how it feels? I want everyone to be able to get to the end of the game.

Maybe I should have a prompt to skip the boss fight if the player dies more than twice?

Love me a good rhythm game <3

Well done for a first game jam! Definitely thought outside the box on this and love the fun connection to the jam!

I liked the ability to swap the style of the game play. Couldnt find enemies for about 30 seconds to a min in some cases, but then all of a sudden I had a few on me at once, lol

Well done for a first game jam!

Hi there!

I am looking for feedback on our game that I want to expand to a full story in the future. Would love it if you can try it out and provide feedback. If you cannot hear any sound, try turning up the volume.

I havent found any good tutorials on making it a web build for a love2D game for the latest version, hope to figure that out in the future so it is only downloadable for now.

If you leave a comment on my game, I will check yours out and review it as well.

Thanks!

Very cute game! Love the music too, well done!

ty! I always imagine the narrator as an older british guy for some reason lol

That was a fun game! Definitely enjoyed it and my kids did too! Well done <3

I wasnt sure if the audio was being weird and pixelating/overlapping sounds or not on the last level with the ooga boogas. Was it intentional?

Hey all! I have made some changes to make the boss fight more intuitive:
-removed getting damaged when too close when boss is vulnerable
then added extra audio and visual queues to the boss.

Turn up the volume if you cannot hear anything. I promise the audio is there. I just set mine to reasonable levels so it doesnt hurt your ears at 80% volume like a bunch of the other games tend to do.

If you have time to redownload it and try again, let me know how it goes :)

There is a bunch of music, you have to probably turn your sound up

I havent figured out how to do that yet with love2d :( Maybe I can do that in the future!

For now, You can download the file, extract the zip, and then run the CatNapInTheForest.exe file

Let me know if that helps

Hope that helps so you can finish the game 🤗

Thanks for the feedback! It is vulnerable when hit droops over after it releases the tiny flowers

I will try it! I also made a platformer, can you check out mine too? 😘

I'll all try all the games here too, here is mine as well

I haven't figured out how to convert love2d over to Web build yet, so mine has to be downloaded

I'll provide feedback on every single game listed here ☺️ on the comments page for your entry

In return, I would also love some game feedback on my entry page as I'm new to making boss fights and this is the first game I did it for.

Thanks!

updated some bugs and grammar errors, should be good to go now :)
Please let me know if you have any feedback, thanks!

Thanks for playing :)

Did you include every song? Nicely done! This definitely met the theme and I still havent beaten it lol  Might take me a few more tries to get the hang of it!

I fell through the elevator to the bottom of the map, that was a funny experience

It definitely took me a bit to get the hang of this one. Very easy to die but I think that is intended as part of the purgatory. Is there a way to win?

The visuals were great, definitely fun to play!

This was definitely satisfying to play

Apologies for the delay, Music credits have now been added :)

Thanks for playing! We definitely overscoped and cut a bunch out the last day when we realized we would miss the deadline otherwise such as purchasing equipment from vendors like the blacksmith, more inventory, monster drops, the full storyline, music, more monsters and the boss fights (the AI we made for the bosses was too buggy to release). We hope to release a full 2.0 in the coming months and would love for you to test it out again at that time. ☺️
