Each day, was more monotone than the last. My schoolwork on a computer that couldn’t even boot up cool math games, due to restrictions, bound me in boredom. From the start, I had felt lonely, bored, and needing for something new, something fun again in a life revolved around work and capitalism. Life felt like I was constantly in purgatory. That was, until I learned of this project.
FiGHtem.
Soon, this fighting game opened my eyes to what fun, and purpose in life truly was, and helped me find solitude in a world so mundane.
I remember exactly where I was, in a Starbucks, when I came across this life changing miracle. So, I downloaded this game. And the rest was history. I ended up staying in that Starbucks for months, breaking a world record for longest time in a Starbucks, as a customer, just playing FiGHtem. Thats when the love of my life approached me, a stranger at the time, and asked about this game. At the moment I didnt know, but I had found my significant other, just from playing FiGHtem. I immediately sparked a conversation about a game so underrated, life slowly coming back into my eyes as I found something I can strive to love again. That day, I ended up leaving my computer at that starbucks accidentally, too caught in deep conversation with a girl I had fallen for. Instead, I left with a newfound love for life, and somebody I could now love, now besides me to take on life. Thank you FiGHtem. You truly made life worth living again.
